Good morning!
And Happy Friday the 13th!

How many tvs do you have in your house? Do you have a tv in your kitchen? Why or why not?

We only have two tvs, one in the living room and one in our bedroom. They're both JVCs; the one in the living room is 48 inches; the one in the bedroom is 42 inches and both are fine for us.

We do not have a tv in the kitchen because I'm the chief cook and bottle washer and I don't want one there. I don't watch enough tv to make it worthwhile for one thing. And we've never gotten into the habit of watching tv while we're eating dinner; we'll turn the tv off for meals. (Except for football season. Football season has its own set of rules, guidelines, by-laws, what-have-you. Says Rick.
And, in fact, during football season, I will serve Rick his dinner right at the couch in the living room. I think it's a law or something. But that's the only time.)

We've got one - not even a flatscreen - in the living room that's basically used for watching the news. We both use our laptops far more than the TV, so there's no sense in having more than one or getting a new one before the old one dies.

We have 2 TV's; a 37" flat screen in our living room that I bought myself for my birthday a few years ago and an old box type 19" that I've had for over 10 yrs. It was in my DD room but it's now in mine (not that we watch it). We prefer to spend TV time together in the living room.

We can see the one in the living room from the kitchen.

We don't have any TVs in the apartment. I want one to hook up to my Playstation 1 (so old school) but we wouldn't have a plan or cable or anything. Most of what we watch is on our own computers and we can share it over the network. It would be nice to have a central place to watch things together but it's not worth the money.

At my parents house, there are five TVs. One in each living room (upstairs and downstairs), and three of the five bedrooms have TVs. None in the kitchens. My mom cooks and wouldn't watch it. We have one other TV that isn't plugged in anymore, but it's so old it's still got the dial to change channels.

We have 2 TVs but only use one. One in a 19inch and it lives in a closet because there's no where to put it lol. We have our main "TV" in the living room/kitchen and it's a 50 inch that we only use for XboxOne, Netflix, and movies so... We don't pay for cable cause that's too much money for us (yet a cat is fine... hmm priorities)

I have two TVs but I've only watched one for a long time.  I have a 42" LG flat screen in the living room that I watch.  I still have a Panasonic tube TV with digital rabbit ears in the bedroom, I haven't watched that one in a very long time.

We have 1 tv in the living room. It's a 42". We recently bought a 50" but it had marks on the screen so we returned it and got a 42" because the 50 was too big. I can see it from the kitchen.

We have 3 flatscreens, none overly large.

One in the living room (biggest), one in our bedroom and one in the guest room.

I had one in the kitchen for a short while but really didn't find it was necessary and it didn't fit very well either.  When I'm cooking, I'm focused on that task.  I can hear the TV from the other room anyway since the house is so small.  My BF wants one in our office space, but thus far I've nixed that.

I just have one, in the living room. I don't spend enough time in the kitchen to have one there :tongue2:. And if I wanted to watch TV in the bedroom I'd probably just run a DVD on the laptop.

I think it's a 32", I forget the brand :anon:. I have it on a wall mount.

We have only 2. A 32 inch flat screen in bedroom. And a 55 inch flat screen in living room.
When we have money I want to put the 32 inch in office, the 55 inch in bedroom and buy a 65 or bigger for the living room.

We have two 42 inch flat screens. One is in the living room. One is in my upstairs room where I have my computer, sewing machine, genealogy work, and my bookcases with all my books. There are two full size sofas also and in the winter we sometimes sit up here since it is warmer. The room is open and looks down on my living room. Thus the heat rises. That is why the TV is here. I never turn it on. When we sit down to watch a movie, he says, "pick out one you want to watch the first 15 minutes of." I always fall asleep when I sit down and get still. I have to be doing something. :lol3:

We have 3.  The main tv is in the living room and we have one in the kitchen.  I love to watch movies and things when I'm doing a lot of baking.  It's also nice to turn on the weather in the morning.  We don't have cable or satellite; we watch TV through the Roku player.  We bought 2 of those; so our 3rd TV doesn't have anything live or streaming.  We have a DVD player in there; but only watch things in there occasionally anyway.  If I have a lot of laundry to fold I'll put something on.  Or a big project like cleaning out the closet.  Having entertaining noise makes the time go by faster!

Cable tv pricing is ridiculously high, especially with Internet service added. I record shows on my parents tv when I'm there. I'm not a big tv watcher anyways.

...with the cats...
i have one 42-inch flat screen tv in my living room. it's a jvc and it's the first large screen flat screen tv i've ever bought. i have it on a wall mount with the top edge of the tv just 3 inches from the ceiling, and below it and to one side of it are pieces of cat wall furniture. i added child corner foam covers over the lower corners of the tv, so my cats won't bang into the corners of the tv hard and get hurt while jumping/climbing on their wall furniture. i installed wire/cable covers, so there aren't any dangling down the wall from my tv. my tv is at the perfect height for me to watch, either sitting in my executive style high backed chair (at my computer desk) with my head resting against the back of the chair in the living room or from my kitchen. when i'm in the kitchen cooking/baking or doing chores, i listen to music via the tv -- i stream using a roku, so listen to music via pandora.

I.have one TV in the sitting room. I don't want one in the bedroom. I prefer to read.
No point having one in the kitchen it's usually empty.

My room mate watches television - I don't. I can't sit there and just let them try to jam all that crap down my throat. Programmes seems to cater to the lowest common denominator these days. I don't find jokes about flatulence and genitalia the least bit humorous.

One, in the sunroom. I record the programs I want so that I can watch them at my leisure.

I have a radio in the kitchen tuned to the BBC World Service, so I can catch up on what's going on around the world while I cook/clean.

I don't have a TV.

My parents didn't let us watch TV when we were growing up, crazy hippies made us read books instead. There was a TV in the student house I shared while I was at university but I never really got into watching it. I've never had one of my own.
