This month we focus on ears. Ears are a common feature in cats, so we want to see images that either focus on the ears, or where the cats have really prominent or unique ears, clearly shown in the shot. We usually accept all submissions that meet the size limits, but this time if it's just a picture of a really cute cat that happens to also have ears (as most do), we may not include it in the voting stage.

Submissions will be accepted through Wednesday, March 18th

The Rules:
  1. Choose the best picture you have for our monthly theme and post it to this thread. Please mention the cat's name!

  2. Image needs to be clear and not too small. 480 pixels high by 640 pixels wide minimum should be a good enough size, but larger is better.
  3. One submission per member please
Our cats are ALL amazingly beautiful! This friendly photo contest is about the way in which the cat is captured in the picture. We're not looking for professional photography, but do try to keep things like image quality, lighting and composition in mind.

Good luck everyone!

I figured we'll be seeing many kittens
There's this stage they all go through where their ears seem to sprout and outgrow their heads

@kntrygrl256  I'll use your first image as your submission (we only allow one per member).

Oh, my goodness!  I am overwhelmed by cute.  My stomach is doing little flip-flops.  This thread should have come with a warning...

Well you learn new things everyday , I was looking at cats with fluffy ears and it would appear Ruby as what's called  " Ear Furnishings " and not "Ear Tufts" one grows from the inside of the ear , while the other grows from the tips .

So thank you Ann for choosing cats ears for this months competition , it's also been an education too

Rudi's typical Siamese ears are like delicate butterfly wings, unintentionally illuminated by the early spring sunshine behind him here.[emoji]128522[/emoji] When he shakes his head fast, they make a funny fluttering sound like a sheet of paper caught in a fan.Of course- we don't laugh about it...much.[emoji]128521[/emoji]

Thank you.

He'd only just started coming indoors at that time and we weren't allowed to touch that lovely belly. (Unfortunately)

He was born outdoors to a feral mother but soon realised there were benefits to coming indoors where all the food and cat toys were.
