Average gestation  is about 60-63 days. It can be about 1 week either side of that date and still be normal. Several changes that may be noticeable in the queen the last week before delivery include a distended, 'dropped' abdomen, enlarged and softened vulva, enlarged nipples, and full mammary glands. Loss of appetite and nervousness alternating with sleep also indicate the time is near.

Just feel like saying that a week before 60 days is in no way survivable for the kittens. On the earliest, I think day 58 will do, but then still it can go wrong. Before that, their lungs won't be developed properly.

For the question. The aggresive behavior isn't a particular sign of going into labor. I would earlier say it's her hormones playing up. Signs of pregnany coming up have been said by Detmut, you won't really notice much until the day is there. Good luck!

As the other said, she is nearing, but day nor hour isnt impossible to tell.  for the record - too early deliveries arent good, worse than for human babies. But somewhat late deliveries seldom a problem. So day 58 is the very earliest to, I would  even say,  60 is the earliest.   It may also depend on the maternity line, of course.   We had even  forumist who told her persian queen regularly delivered at the day 58, without any problems for the kittens, they werent premature in any way.  But it must be an exception, on the verge of biologically possible. Dragons and witches flying around in broad daylight while everybody is being sober,  being the next visible phenomena...   :)

Right, about 5 febr no vet would feel anything, being around not even day 30.  Could possibly see rose nipples.   Pity you didnt spayed her then and there... As it would be a  good occasion for it.

Wait, didnt the vet see the rosy nipples?  This gives us a sort of count.  Say it couldnt be thus no more than day 20.  So, it gives about day 60 now, yes? [nay, february is 28 days, so sooner day 56-58]  Which is exactly what we think.

It doesnt help us very much, as we still dont know the exact day of mating, nor the exact day of delivery anyways...  They deliveries do wary somewhat, as said before.

Good you had isolated her in her own room, its the usual to do.  Even if she is best friends with the other animals, its the safest.

Admitting visitors of the residents only if she clearly vishes this, and the visitor is friendly with her.

But playing safe, let her be there alone, and later, alone with babies.  Rule number one: the mom shall not be stressed, defensive mode or not.

its only if she clearly wishes company, you let them met (with supervision in the beginning).  As not letting her meet her best friend is stressing too.

Im sending our usual links.

Please contnue with reports and further questions.

Ps.  Why is she shaved on the chest?  Was some surgery done there?

Good luck!

Congrats!   They seem nicely hairy and big!

Although a couple seems smaller, and possibly has difficulties to reach to some nipple.

So look out with this, be sure everyone gets their share.   Rotating them may be a trick.

Or laying the smallest tthe teats, when the biggest are asleep, is another often used tip.

Good if you weight them on an electronic scale measuring in grammes, every day, so you can be sure they do gain properly.  Its the easiest way for everyone not a pro on this.

Good luck!   @Reah
