My cat is having her kittens

Hi everyone my baby jasmine is in active labor now I think hopefully been waiting a long time but for a couple days she's been nestingshe's been nibbling on food here and there she won't let me out of her sight last night I had to sleep in the closet with herit started around 7pm yesterday and today around 230 I noticed her mucus plug and now its 812 and she's licking her whole body the whole bottom side of her sopping wet so I think her water might have broke she's not very vocal unless I leave the room but she try to take one of our puppies there are 3 months old by the neck and take it to the nesting area me and my husband thought that was hilarious but hopefully will have a litter of kittens soon kinda excited she's a Manx Siamese mix and we love her . and thanks everyone for the advice I didn't even know what to look for until I found this site

I see this is an old post, but how did your kittens come out?  I hope it all went well.  Let us know and send photos if you have not already done so in another forum.

Sorry nobody answered earlier, I dont know if I managed to miss this post, or it were moved in here from some other Forum.

Ps.  Its interesint you witness she is taking dog puppies into the nest.

We had recently a couple of similiar questions, where the high preg tried to kidnap in kittens from her previous litter.

We werent sure if she wanted their help as co-mothers - which is common in the wild.

OR if she recognized them as not adult kittens, and her maturnity instincts carried her away.

NOW, tx to you we do have an answer.   If she takes halfgrown puppies, it must be the maternity instinct flowing over...

Good for the orphaned squirrels or even small ducks whom such a mom may adopt.   :)
