Pregnant Cat. Unknown Conception Date.

My cat Cuddles, who is almost a year old (10 months),is pregnant. I have no clue when she conceived, she is laying down a lot, I can see the kittens moving inside her belly if I watch her abdomen closely. She doesn't really want affection, she is looking for a nesting area, and sleeps a lot. She hasn't lost her appetite much (that I know of), and this is her first litter. Any ideas as to how far along she is?

Usually you can only feel the kittens moving in the last 2 weeks of pregnancy. How long have you been able to feel them? If she's looking for a nesting spot, it'll be pretty soon. Keep an eye on her! And post pics of the babies when they're born!

I've been able to feel them since last Monday (3/2/15). My cousin and I set up a spare closet for her on Sunday. I'm keeping a very very close eye on her. . . my aunt's cat lost one of her kittens in labor because the sac broke. I'm also nervous because before she was pregnant she was really tiny and skinny.

I've been able to SEE them since about Tuesday (3/9/10)

So its about one week more to go.

Fleece or flannel good to use in the bedding for kittens.

I just took her temperature under her right foreleg, it came out as 99.8. What would that be as her true temp? And what should it be as a warning sign for labor?

Its about 3F degrees lower here, then in the behind.   So she has the normal temp, perhaps even a shade extra.

The warning drop is about 3F lower,  count on 96...

Thanks! That helps me more than checking for signs, my cats are weird and sneaky about displaying signs. Cuddles's mother didn't show any signs of being anywhere near queening, until April 20th 2014 when her water broke on my bed... right next to me.

Now she's constantly laying down, she will get up to eat and use the litter box but is mostly laying down.

Cuddles had her kittens last night! Six healthy babies. They're adorable... But now I have to throw away one of my shirts.

Let me guess, I suspect you arent seeing this sacrifice as a heavy burden.  Considering everything else is as good as it can be for this moment.

The shirt is one that doesn't fit anymore... It was a pink net top.. I would have washed it.. But oh well. xD

Unfortunately in another six tor seven weeks there's gonna be another litter... Cuddles' sister Fuzzles is pregnant too.

My mother plans to spay them ASAP.

C cuddlebug1999 You will need to start a separate thread when about the sister cat and her litter. when you are ready. :nod: Love the picture of the fur pile with the mama and babies.

C cuddlebug1999 Good, in the meantime, keep us updated on these little fur balls. They are adorable. When I enlarge the picture, it looks like the mama cat is smiling. She is proud of herself. Good luck with both cat moms.

She's a very photogenic mommy. When I can I'll show you guys one of her daughters her markings are very unique.
