"partial" retina detachment in older cat

My cat seemed to be going blind. The vet said she has a partial retina detachment and that she had high blood pressure caused by thyroid and kidneys. All of those things are now being treated.

Has your cat ever had "partial" retina detachment and with medicine the eye sight improved?
