Do you wear jewelry on an everyday basis?

Sometime when I was in middle school I started loving wearing jewelry.  By high school I regularly wore 3-5 rings, 2 necklaces, earrings (just 1 set), 3 toe rings and sometimes a nice watch or bracelets. I had a few really cool "vintage" things my mom and grandma gave me. Also some hand made things from a cousin who was into jewelry making.  As I got older; some of the pieces became nicer.  My step dad believes that your first diamond and your first rose should come from your Dad; so all us girls got a small diamond ring on our 16th birthday. I wrote that till DH and I got engaged.  My Great-Grandparents were immigrants and while they weren't destitute; they weren't rich either.  Their thought was that having a piece of jewelry was a nice luxury to attain.  They bought all of their daughters a gold chain with a cross.  Grandma carried that thought on and purchased my cousins and I all a few nice things over the years.

As time had gone on; I feel like I wear a lot less than I used to. But I still have certain pieces I don't feel dressed without; especially a nice pair of smaller hoop earrings. I always wear earrings, the necklace DH gave me on our wedding day and 2 toe rings. My wedding band hasn't fit since my pregnancy with my son 3 years ago; so I wear that on my necklace from DH and I have a pretty silver opal ring I wear in its place; but I don't wear it at home.  My hands are always in the water or cooking so it's easier to just leave it in a safe spot. I'd love a simple wedding band to replace it; something that is more obvious is a wedding band.  I don't do much "costume" type jewelry anymore.  It usually breaks me out in eczema.  On the rare occasions DH and I go out or holidays I might add a bracelet or a ring on my right hand.  Most of my old ones don't fit either.

So how about you?

I never take off the following:

Diamond studs set in platinum.  From my ex and one of the few things he got me which I really love.

White gold necklace, with a charm that looks like a rose, has tiny diamonds in it.  From my BF

Slim white gold ring with small diamonds also, and has heart shaped cut outs on the band.  From my BF

That's it.  I used to wear a lot more when I was younger but I'm more minimal now.  I have some really nice pieces, one of which is a vintage diamond art deco style diamond ring that was left to me by my mom, via my grandmother.  The diamonds are an ok size but the ring itself is so long, it makes it impossible to wear other than for special occasions.  I thought about making a broach out of it but don't want to ruin the integrity of the piece.  I have other diamond pieces, rings from ex's, etc. and a lot of other things like a pearl necklace but they sit in my jewelry box.

No I don't. My rings need to be sized, they don't fit anymore since getting pregnant. I have a few necklaces I wear sometimes. One is a locket with a family tree and birthstones (mine, husband's and 2 kids), one has all of our names on it and I just got a new one last week that's made out of silicone and is for my son to chew on

oh Canada~
None here. When I worked with food, I couldn't wear anything like that. It's been so long since I've worn any jewelry for anything other than a wedding, now it just seems like a hassle.

Does my Fitbit count? That's pretty much it for me.

My watch is throwing fits and keeps losing time, even with a new battery, so I stopped wearing it. I stopped wearing earrings for the winter because, til I get my earbuds in, then my sunglasses, then my ear muffs, then get my hood up over my head to walk, if I'm wearing earrings my ears start to hurt. Once winter leaves for good, I should be able to start wearing earrings again.

Neither Rick nor I wear our wedding bands. I worked in a factory where we weren't allowed to wear any jewelry whatsoever and stopped wearing mine. He still works in a factory, so he doesn't wear his either.

I don't like wearing jewelry at home, but when I go out I wear my wedding ring and claddagh ring (both from my husband), and necklace with a pendant from my niece that says, "the heart remembers" with my sister's name engraved on the back. I wear black pearls on dressier occasions.

I don't like sleeping in earrings but if I don't the holes start closing up (you'd think pierced over 40 years ago they wouldn't, but they do). So I wear pearl studs most of the time, and drop earrings when playing dress up.

I don't wear jewelry at all. Except sometimes I do wear earrings, and when I do put a pair in I'll wear them 24/7 until I get a reason to take them off, but most of the time I'll forget to put them in again. I'm not wearing any currently. I once went a whole year without wearing earrings and the holes didn't close up so I guess they're fairly permanent.

I can't wear necklaces because I get a weird feeling like someone is going to grab it from the back and choke me. Weird, I know, because I never have been choked by anyone, but there's just no reasoning with my brain! I prefer not to wear bracelets because I fiddle with them constantly and it's distracting. I definitely can't stand to wear anything on my fingers or toes or ankles. Just thinking about it makes me fidgety.

I don't tend to wear jewellery at home, except for various pairs of gemstone studs (amethyst, carnelian, citrine, rose quartz, baltic amber)set in silver. I flip between them depending on mood. Anytime I go out (not counting stables and dog walks ;) ) I wear a necklace , bracelets on both wrists and generally some sort of simple drop earrings. Well...I kind of have to really. I make and sell gemstone and silver jewellery (just a hobby at the moment, but it's going ok) and I feel like I need to be a walking advertisement for my stock!

Edit: forgot to say that I no longer wear anything that I didn't make myself.

I wear earrings, a ring, 2 chains with small medallions on them, a watch and a bracelet. I don't take any of these off except to shower.

I used to work in a shop that sold silver and semi precious gemstones so I have a lot of jewellery. I don't wear it all the time as I do a lot of cleaning and gardening. I have a few favourite pieces that I save for special occasions.

The only jewellery I wear every day is a copper bracelet, which I think is good for my joints, and my earrings. I have 12 holes in my ears altogether with surgical steel ball close hoops through them.

I love jewelry, and collect it (my one luxury--I call my pieces my "vacations" and "college fund").  I have a metal allergy, so I can only wear 14 kt gold (or higher) and sterling silver. I've never tried platinum, so I don't know if that would be a problem metal. I'm fascinated by gemstones.

I always wear at least earrings--if only around the house. I feel undressed without them. I normally wear earrings, a necklace, bracelet and my replacement engagement ring ; however, I wash my hands so much because of having so many cats and cleaning, so I end up removing it many times a day--and sometimes don't bother wearing it. Hubby never wears his wedding ring, so I don't feel bad!

This past week, though, I haven't worn necklaces. The cold has made my hands split, especially on my left thumb--which makes opening and closing a spring ring on a chain nearly impossible. (I can't do it right-handed.) I've been wearing long scarves instead.

Yes! I definitely wear jewelry

2 14kt gold bracelets on each arm that I never remove, and an 18kt chain that has a pendant, it's a pure gold coin in a pretty bezel that has a persian cat on it. (the coin) that I never remove.

I can only wear one ring on each hand now because they are pretty big with lots of diamonds, so it's just too much to wear any of the others I used to wear, my thin diamond band thumb ring or any pinkies. But I have to take them off before bed or I feel clausterphobic, but they go right back on when I get dressed.

Earrings, I felt naked without them all my life, and the past few years now I have stopped, my hair it just too long, down to my butt so brushing earrings out gets old :)

I do not like to wear jewelry at all, except for watches.  Other than the watch, if I try to wear jewelry, I have a strong need to take it off.
Crazy, I know, but I don't feel comfortable.

Ironically, I used to manage costume jewelry departments for a popular department store for many years and I really do love the artwork that goes into the pieces!  I love  watches also!

Put antibiotic ointment (ointment works better than cream) on a band aid over the crack, and leave on overnight. Repeat the next night, if necessary. I've never had anything take longer than 2 nights to heal up this way.

That's the beauty of ball close hoops. Once they are in they don't get tangled in your hair and they don't get pulled out. I've got too much hair for any other kind of earrings too.

I only wear jewelry when I go out shopping, church, visiting friends, etc. I have a lot of jewelry and wore some of all of it when I was still working. My weakness is large rings. I love them.

A ring on each hand (my wedding band and my mother's; sometimes I replace the latter with my grandmother's wedding band), a bracelet I almost never take off for sentimental reasons (a gift from my late brother), my watch, and usually earrings. Occasionally a necklace, too.

I mostly only wear jewelry when going out  and never, ever without my watch.  The car clock hasn't worked in a couple of years so I depend on my watch.

Since I'm retired I don't go out every day and I don't wear any jewelry in the house not even my watch.  I have enough clocks around here so I always know what time it is.

My engagement and wedding ring (it's an insert type - or jacket some people call it), but I take it off as soon as I come home. Don't like rings on at home. Earrings all the time (I have tons of earrings), but never sleep in them - they bother me). I have a diamond heart necklace that I wear all the time and a couple of gold bracelets that stay on all the time).
