You cat needs to be seen by a vet ASAP. I am very concerned about the tongue swelling you describe.

Let us know what you find out.

There are so many different things that can cause the symptoms you listed.  I agree with the above poster, please get your cat to a vet ASAP

He is nauseated and febrile at a minimum, indicated by hypersalivation and clear ocular discharge. He needs professional veterinary treatment immediately. He's gone too long without supportive care, fluid replacement, and treatment already. Find one open on Sundays here http://www.veccs.org/  Good Luck.

It could be any number of things, we are not vets so cannot provide a diagnosis.  Some things that it may possibly be is a respiratory infection, an allergic reaction, a mouth infection, an abscessed tooth, this list could go on and on.  There are so many possibilities.  A swollen tongue is pretty serious which is why I would recommend an emergency vet visit today as it could indicate an allergic reaction to something that if not treated in a timely matter could be devastating to your cat.
