Ketchup and Fries - New garden plant

Ketchup and Fries is the name of the plant that grows tomatoes on the top of the soil and potatoes down in the soil. Now how cool is that? And yes, I think we're going to try one....or three.

Both require a lot of watering, so I can see how this would work.

I wonder if they have any around where I live? It is a balcony garden and the past few years I have had issues with tomatoes.....blight so I hesitate to plant..

That is really really neat!!  I've been thinking about trying potatoes but I haven't researched how i want to do it yet.  My Grandfather tried the bucket method a few years ago just for the heck of it.  This seems really cool!  Hopefully I can talk to him soon to see if he's heard about this one!

@Winchester -- are you going to plant these in containers or in the ground?

In containers. We'll just plop them on the deck in the back of the house. I thought they were kind of a neat thing to try.
