I have 8 cats. 3 I took to vet today. 2 have tapeworms and vet put meds. On them to be treated. I think maybe i should just take the rest of them in to be check out and treated. Or get the medicine for them too.what do you think?

What medicine did you use on your cat for worms?

If you ask the vet for meds for the other cats, he/she should be willing since you already had some of the cats in. The meds the vet gives you are best, but you can buy Tradewinds Tapeworm Tabs over-the-counter if you need to. Praziquantel is the only med approved to treat tapeworms in cats in the US.

Also, tapeworms come from having fleas (or eating wildlife), so you need to treat the fleas too so the kitties don't just get tapeworm again right away.

I got deworm for my cat from the vet. It called profende . just put it on her first thing she did was lick it. Will it hurt her does anyone kbow. My other cat liked the front line and she( the vet) made me wash his mouth out and give him whole bath.

I have no phone to call the vet
