Hi. I apologize in advance for using any type of inappropriate words on this post. I used the ones i know. >_<

So, My neighbors are waiting eagerly for my cats to get some babies because at some point when they were at a normal neighbors-gathering-thing they noticed my cats and said they'd pay money for the kittens if available. (I'd personally give them for free but parents didn't like my idea of giving them out for free).

My cats aren't neutered yet. My friends told me to go get them neutered for their health.

I personally want the best for my cats. But since the neighbors incident. I'm a bit pressured.

So, Can i let my cats have babies first? Or should i get them to be neutered? Cats are 1 year old and younger.

Not to mention that IT IS INDEED THE SEASON.
I read on an article that females get in heat for 4 to 6 days in three weeks. Is that true?

Your English here is perfect :)

The short answer is that you should get your cats spayed and neutered as soon as possible.  We have some good articles here explaining why that you can read:

http://www.thecatsite.com/a/when-to-spay-neuter-a-cat

http://www.thecatsite.com/a/spay-and-neuter-your-cats

There are many health benefits to spaying/neutering and it is especially much healthier and less dangerous for females to be spayed than to have litters. It also helps curb the serious cat overpopulation  problem that exists in most of the world.

Please let us know if you have  any questions on any of this, and welcome to the forums!

The only problem with letting your cats multiply is as near as your local shelter. There are literally thousands (maybe millions) of cats that are needing homes, most on death row. There was an estimate that 80% of cats at a shelter will be killed. It would be much better if your neighbors would save a kitten from death. Cats in heat are NOT pretty, they yowl 24/7, they are escape artists and will mate with something that is NOT what you intended, and if they don't get mated they will come right back into heat. They are in heat for weeks, not days. (anyway the Toms hang around for that long!)Spayed and neutered cats are calmer, don't fight, won't wander, don't need to mark their territory and are all around better pets. I wouldn't want to put my precious baby girl through all that, and take the chance of something going wrong during the delivery,. If it was ME, I'd spay, (and I always do) I can't stand to look at all those sweet faces at the shelter and know I'm taking a home away. It's YOUR choice though, good luck in what ever you decide! PS. do you have pictures?
