Where my cats are
Happy March everyone!  Especially to those of you in the northern hemisphere that are super sick of winter.  I keep reminding myself; winter means no mosquitoes or yellow jackets/wasps/etc.  My son had a few allergic reactions to mosquitoes last year so going outside can be a problem; but man alive am I ready to let these kids run energy off OUTSIDE!  Without the use of a snowsuit!  Winter also means a little slower pace for us since there is no garden to tend or grass to mow.  But the cold and freezing precipitation; that I'm all done with.

What/where is your cat's favorite bed?

Noodles has decided my sock basket is her bed.  DH has been trying to add shelving to our closet and I rearranged part of my side to hold home office/school supplies.  It's a mess in there because frankly; our closet is pretty low on my list of to-do priorities.  (It's kind of driving DH nuts though.)  So actually the basket is inside a box on top of stuff I'm getting rid of.  Noodles likes it because it's dark and quiet in there!  When I rearranged I got rid of her usual spots in there.  I took a pic of her in there the other day.  I have since folded a pillow case and put it on top so my socks don't all come out covered in hair. ;)

I'm pretty sure that I am Mooch's favorite bed!  :lol3:   I don't mind either. They don't get to sleep on our bed; so it's just when I'm on the couch that she gets to sleep on me.  :rub: I also bought a self-heating mat for the girls when it was a lightning deal on Amazon. They both like my glider so I put the mat there.  Mooch has spent a lot of time there since she hasn't been feeling so good.  As a bonus; it keeps the cat hair off my chair and we just move it when we sit there.  Which isn't too often since the girls are so fond of that seat.  Spoiled? Nah! :lol3:

Wonderful pictures, Mooch!

The cats' favorite bed is our bed. With both sides of the electric blanket turned on High. They're always open for a nice lap to lay in, too.
  • Mollipop likes the kitty couch in the bedroom. And the catnapper at one of the windows in the bedroom. She's pretty much taken that over.
  • Boo has taken over the cube in the cat tree; that is solely for him (and he lets the other cats know it if he goes there and the cube is taken; the other cat will move....and quickly).
  • Muffin still likes to take an afternoon nap in her stroller in the computer room.
  • Amber likes the back of the chair in the living room.
  • Tabby likes the green pillow in the living room. The pillow says, "Quiet, please. Cat at work". She also likes the pink blankie on the kitchen table and will often lay there while Rick and I eat dinner at night.
  • And Ms. Pepe has her wicker clothesbasket in the living room next to the register; she loves to curl up in there. I put a queen pillow in the basket for her. In the winter, I always have a flannel pillow case on the pillow. But come warmer weather, then I'll put her regular pillow case on.
Each cat has his or her very own place in the house. But they all prefer the electric blanket and our bed most of all. And I do one laundry load of kitty laundry--pillowcases, small blankies, Muffin's stroller blankies, and larger blankets--for them every week.

My cats each have a padded bed out in the sun room by the windows so they can look out. Of course they are heated too! I can guarantee that if you buy a heated mat, ANY bed you put it in will be their favorite!!!
At night, Casper sleeps with us and old Burt sleeps on the floor by the foot of the bed, he rarely comes up to sleep with us, even though we ask.

Cocoa's favorite sleeping spot is the pet bed we put out for her over the dining room radiator hands down.  It has a big picture window so, lots of birds, random neighborhood kitties, dogs being walked, bunnies, squirrels and people for her to keep watch over. Even in the deep dark of night - I haven't a clue what she sees then.  Second runner up is the wicker chair with ottoman we bring in to the living room for winter - it's part of our porch set.  Third, our bed, but rarely at night.

Casper doesn't have one particular place - he has several which are equally utilized.  First, is the same chair above.  Either the chair or the ottoman depending on if he or Cocoa got there first.  Second, is another ottoman which is under my computer desk.  It got put there when I was recovering from surgery last May and we never moved it.  He loves it under there.  Third, is our bed. At any time, and particularly at bedtime.

Daytime the cats usually find a ray of sunshine on our bed , the kids bed, the cat trees, even the table ugh.
At night only little miss and domino sleep out the other three go in the closet or under the bed.
Domino sleeps between either my or hubby's legs and little miss sleeps on my pillow. They were my bottle babies so they like to keep close.

Forest likes the top of the book shelf. I'm sometimes worried that he's going to fall off because he gets so relaxed, but it hasn't happened so far.

The rest of them like any where there is a crowd. They like to form big kitty piles and share body heat.

Sophie likes to relax behind the TV on the stand in the living room. That area is AKA the fortress of solitude. Lilith doesn't go back there. It must be an agreement between them. I've tried to get a picture of her in the fortress but it's dark back there and she's a black cat...  no luck.

Here's one of her on my pillow when I was washing the case.

Lilith has her favorite platform on the cat tree. She also likes to snuggle in my blankets on the couch when it's chilly in the house.

Henry has his box. He likes it BEHIND the bed not IN the bed.

These days Abby is spending time either on her heated pad or heated perch.

Emma currently naps on a fleece blanket wrapped Snuggle Safe heat pad during the day. Leroy doesn't nap or sleep (really) but he probably rests on the cat tree or on the back of the sofa. At night both cats are on the bed
