I was never a huge zombie fan before TWD but I'm definitely addicted to the show. It's not about the zombies after all, it's about the story of the living. So, anyone watching it who wants to discuss stuff? I have so many things to say about the last episode so be advised, if you haven't caught up with this week's episode there could be spoilers here.
So, what do you think? It looks too good to be true, doesn't it? Does anyone know if this is planned to be the last season?

Yes I definitely think it's too good to be true. Also, Daryl needs to take a shower.

No it's not the last season, it was renewed for season 6 before season 5 even started.

Big fan here! I haven't watched last night's episode yet, but my suspicions are that it's too good to be true. I do know for sure that they've signed up for a 6th season.

Have you watched it yet @pushylady

Is it me or has Rick lost a LOT of weight? His body looks great but his face looks so gaunt. Or is it because we got used to seeing him with a beard?

If I was on the road for months without food, I'd lose weight too!
I am just wondering why Rick's the only one that's grown a beard and long hair, when everyone else is clean shaven with short hair cuts.. lol
LOVE the Walking Dead!

Though this seasons a bit slow. I feel like something will pick up and happen next sunday.

I think the following can be safely typed out without a spoiler alert

Does Daryl actually look like he's been shaving? I think that's his un-shaved look and he's just naturally not very hairy? His hair is long. Same for Glen, I just assumed he's naturally not hairy. Though come to think of it, Sgt. Abraham's look with that kind of beard/mustache is pretty impossible to achieve without daily grooming sessions. Hmmm.

For the women, I always thought it was pretty amazing they all have such great skin, with three years without any lotions, sunscreen etc. And yes, Carol's haircut stands out as it's always trimmed and in shape. I guess she could be carrying scissors around and asking others to cut it once a week or so. Scissors could come handy as an additional tool to kill walkers with too.

After such an incredibly intense opening, it's been quite slow going.

Andrew Lincoln was questioned about his shaved appearance recently, so now it makes sense that his character got to shave. Silly that he's so obviously shaggy but others are well groomed, and Daryl can style and dye his long hair.

Has the timeline been 3 years? I was wondering how long it was supposed to have been for them.

at least two years judging by Judith. It was the first season she was announced pregnancy, right? Judith's what, a year now?

I don't know why I was thinking three years too. You're right though, Judith is about a year old, so it can't be much loner than two years.

I can't wait for the spin-off to start in 2016. LA is just such a perfectly horrible setting for a zombie apocalypse

I am a huge fan!  DH and I are a season behind everyone else.  We will catch up on DVD when the new season is out.  Daryl is my favorite, but I also like Michon.

I've never watched it, but my niece and her fiance have a full blown podcast and blog about it.

I just watched this week's show (Season 5 Episode 14). Very gory and so much happening with the plot.
Poor Noah! What a way to die, and they really didn't spare the viewers this time. Ewww. Wouldn't a person lose their consciousness from the immediate drop in blood volume much sooner?
And what's with the priest, Gabriel? Has he gone insane or something? And is it me, or did someone suddenly call for help when Gabriel left the house there?

I am actually glad Noah is gone.. I didn't like him. lol.. but yes, that scene was pretty graphic!
That coward.. Adian was it? He left the two to die in the turnstile! I hope they kill him later on!

Yes, after all they've done for the priest, Gabriel.. carried him for 500+ miles, saved his life multiple times, and found paradise for him, this is how he returns the favor? by telling her that they're all killers? I am curious to what the consequence is for that one!

I think the screaming for help was Glen, looking for help for the girl, I forget her name.

I am still shocked over Carol's attitude over the boy, Sam. She's really harsh!
my responses above, Anne!

Haaa haa haaaaa ... loved this super gory episode! :blobgreen. Did anyone else notice the camera got splattered a couple of times? Poor Noah, hell of a way to go. I was really impressed by the actor playing Glen. He looked truly horrified. And good to see Eugene finally stepping up! Liked how Abraham took over too. This episode showed what a bunch of weenies the Alexandrians are.
What was up with Carol? She didn't have to be so super mean!! She's a little quick to jump into psycho mode.
And Gabriel? That cowardly traitor!! I hope Deanna has enough sense to see through him. I think he's just finally gone crazy. Things aren't going to be easy though went Deanna finds out her son has been killed. Good episode, so many plotlines going on! Looks like Rick is finally going to get some action of a different kind.... :D

I think maybe some of the characters are actually going crazy now that they've finally found what appears to be a potentially peaceful existence. A form of PTSD maybe, letting themselves go now that they can, if that makes sense? Gabriel, Sasha and Carol are acting a little bit crazy (ok, maybe not a little...)
With Carol, it's not just the way she treats the poor boy, it's also the way she has quick to tell Rick he had to kill the boy's Dad. I get that she has a past of being in an abusive relationship, but she really does not have a whole lot of evidence to base a death sentence on. Not to mention that the man is the town's doctor, so someone you want to be around for as long as you can.
I wish we could use the spoiler alerts, but I guess we shouldn't huh? Or do others feel it's safe to just place a general spoiler alert at the beginning of the thread and then let the discussion flow?

If I see a general spoiler alert, I will know not to look.  I almost  watched one of this season's episodes the other night.   I saw Carl for just a minute and changed the channel fast.
