Missing cat

Hello!

Recently my cat went missing, he disappeared 21.02.2015, he has never been out more than 1 day when I have been home although my parents claim he has been out 5 days in a row when I wasn't home. However, the night he disappeared I was home and I haven't heard or seen him ever since. The strange thing though is that our neighbor i pretty sure she saw my cat fighting with my other cat the other day but I still havent seen my cat.

The cat that is missing is a 3 year old neutered male cat. My other cat is also 3 years old and they got alone fine, they didnt excactly sleep togheter but would play very seldom but mostly just live side by side. Now it has been 8 days since I've seen my cat Houdini and I'm wondering if theres a posibility he might have run away or gotten trapped or something. I have searched alot, every night but I havent found anything or heard anything.

Is it possible that my other cat has been scaring him away???

Would appriaciate every help offered. Thx in advance.

also, put something with your scent and the missing cat's scent right outside the house -- blanket, shirt, etc.

Like I said he's been gone quite a while is there even a chance he might be alive if say my neighbor didnt actually see my cat???

One of our rescues escaped her foster home and was missing for a full 12 weeks before we got a sighting. The foster never saw her, not once, during that 12 wk time period. The cat was less than 1/4 mile from her home. A neighbor spotted her, at first thinking she was a new stray/feral that showed up. The neighbor realized who she was the next day. We ended up having to trap the cat to get her back.

I hope you have a happy reunion soon! Continue to talk with neighbors to let them know Houdini is still missing and to please contact you if they spot him.

I am sorry your cat is missing.  Don't give up hope.  Cats are survivors.  He may be frightened or maybe someone in your area rescued him.  Here are some articles with tips on finding a lost cat.
