Kismet always covers her spots, but Mo is obsessive with burying anything and everything (if he finds a spot on the wood floor where we dropped food, picked it up, wiped it, but didn't wipe with water or cleaner, he comes and buries the tile. If he can't finish his food, he'll use the fridge to bury the saucer). When we first got Kismet and they were allowed to share space, Mo would go use Kismet's litter box (from the safe room) but he would always bury Kismet's spots more. When he first started doing it, he looked so exasperated as if he was thinking "these darn kids..."

I don't think he does it anymore for her though. Not that I've noticed, anyway.

My cats do that. Leroy will use the box but not cover so Emma has to do it for him

My two share a box but cover their own businesses!
Blighty also covers his food next to his plate little love. He came from the streets at about 2 months but hasn'the forgotten what mummy taught him.
Also while he was living in my bedroom with all his parafernalia he was so busy in his box before and after using it. It's quite amazing. One day off the streets and he knew how to use a litter box. They are amazing our kitties aren't they?
