Hi guys,

Last year this forum helped me a lot with Mimi's IBD and now we have another problem. I think Mimi or my husbands cat Merlin, have thin firm stools. They are really thin like pencil and one of them threw up.

The throwing up maybe is Mimi because of her on and off ibd and I am tapering down the dose of prednisolone. She takes 0.5mg once per day and since the last month she takes every other day.

The other cat, Merlin, has sometimes soft stool but all of his blood work was ok, and the vet did not believe he has something wrong. We alsomoved recently and I think they maybe stressed?

Any suggestions what could cause this?

:(

Skinny/thin but firm stools make me think constipation is a possibility. How long has this been happening? Does he appear to strain at all when going?

No, they are both acting normal when going and they are active, playfull, eat a lot. I'm so confused I wish they could talk :lol3:

They both eat dehydrated raw food and I put some pumpkin in and they ate it. I hope it works.

Could the dry dehydrated  raw food cause constipation on both cats?

So I just saw that Mimi was the one with the thin stools. She wasn't exactly constipated but she came out of the kitty litter and she scooted! Oh mimi.. I guess I have to go to the vet to empty her glands.
