My cats name is Bagheera. He was a stray cat and I instantly fell in love with him. He bonded with me right from the start. He is extremely long haired during the winter and extremely short haired for the most part during the winter. He has vampire like teeth and I find his teeth unique. His eyes are a beautiful yellow green. He is so love-able. He has to be held and loved. He sits on my shoulders and makes mittens. Every time we cuddle he makes mittens. He has been an out door cat for the 5 years I've had him so far. He is now an indoor cat. He runs around the house as though he is a dog. He likes to kill his scratching post and likes to wake me up with kisses. He is very demanding when I'm not petting him and will force me to pet him. He is so sweet. But I've always been curious as to how old he really is and what type or breed of cat he is. Any ideas?

I'm sorry I meant to say Bagheera is extremely long haired during the winter and extremely short haired during the summer.

My cars name is Bagheera. He was a stray cat back in 2010. He has been an out door cat up until a month ago. When I first found him he and I bonded. He makes mittens every time I hold him. He is a very demanding cat when it comes to loves. He has to be held. His favorite spot to sit is on my shoulders. He is a very heavy and fluffy cat. Has beautiful long hair during the winter and short hair during the summer for the most part. He used to kill rabbits and mice all the time outside and teach our dogs how to kill. He got along great with our 3 dogs. He hates other cats. He gives me kisses on my cheek in the morning and rubs his face on my chin or hands. He has vampire teeth that are very obvious.

He is neutered and very energetic. The vet thought he was about 2 when I got him. But he wasn't positive. My cat will growl at make at certain male voices on the phone. But I think that's just because he's jealous I'm not talking to him. He is just a sweetie. I'm curious as to what breed he may be.

I dont see him well on my so so monitor.  But he seems to be quite big, as he barely gets place on your shoulder?

That big, and longhaired, he may have some Maine Coon in him...

I agree with StefanZ, he looks pretty large so may have some Maine Coon or similar large long-hair cat in there somewhere.  His coat looks wonderfully thick and long in its winter form.

I don't think it is uncommon for some of the longer hair breeds originating from areas with big seasonal variations to change their coat significantly between summer and winter but others may have more knowledge and experience of this than I do.

Thank you all so much. I kinda thought he may have some main coon, as they are very friendly cats I hear and he is long haired and so big. But wasn't sure. I've been researching cat breeds and trying to find out what all he has in him. Some very good thoughts. Thank you.

Yeah, I think it is typical for Maine Coons, prob  sibirians and Norwegians has it too, but its well described in MCO...  It was partly why I wrote he may have some MCO in him, not bothering to seeking further...   :)
