I have a kitten (she is one of two, a brother and sister. We also have the mom, plus one more boy cat). The kittens are about 5 months. This first thing all 4 cats are showing these symptoms:This breathing/sneezing/cough thing they do while laying/sitting with their necks stretched out and with an upward movement of the nose they also make a sneezing/coughing sound, but the are breathing also. We have taken them all to a vet, but not all at the same time. They've been prescribed amoxicillon twice. The kittens have had to get 2 of 4 booster shots so far. And they are still sick it seems. They throw up. Now the girl kitten this morning had some gooey crust in her left eye. I put some vitamin e on a napkin and got it out but she keeps holding her left eye closed. And now on top of that I just found blood on the tip of her right ear. I keep finding them up trees, and there's stray dogs and cats around here. Its hard to always keep them inside. Any info or remedies for these would be greatly appreciated!

It's very common for cats, especially kittens to get upper respiratory infections. This will be more common if they are exposed to outside animals with all those illnesses. If at all possible take one in to the vet and treat them all for the same illness after finding out what they recommend.  (of course telling your vet what you are doing.) If the illness is viral, antibiotics will not work. I would highly recommend getting some L-Lysine treats or drops (I get mine on the internet through Amazon.) it is used for illnesses like this and builds up their immune system. It is what my vet recommended and it works! Good luck!

it makes me feel more at ease to hear you say the upper respitory infection is common. An internet video I saw had me very worried. We did get the lysine treats at the last vet visit as well. Are these something I should give them regularly? I wasn't sure if I should continue to buy them. If it really is good for them I will get more. I haven't finished the one we got from the vet.

The vet did say they could have a cold. It just worries me to see them looking like they feel sick.
