My cat's left paw was bleeding after the fight with another cat. I looked because he was holding it in the air. The dark grey skin of the pad was missing a large surface section and the meat was swelling out of the tear. I cleaned it with peroxide and alcohol and bandaged it up and it lasted through the whole day to the next morning. When I took the bandage off, glad I did, the bleeding had stopped except for surface seepage. It looked like the insides coming out of a sausage. Does it or can it be stitched up or just keep it bandaged up? I don't know how to splint it to push the meat back.

With something sticking out like that, I would definitely make a vet trip, it sounds like a stitch is needed. The only way it is going to heal properly is if you can get that pushed back in and then a bandage applied, so I would imagine sedation is going to be involved. All the luck, and keep us posted!
