I recently took in my 2nd cat, his name is ZuLu and he is currently 11 weeks old. Two weeks after receiving him he began to get really bad diarrhea. I took him to the vet and they said he had a virus, gave me some antibiotics to administer over the next five days, and sent me home with a large bill. I am now on day 3 and he has started to leak not only diarrhea but a kind of clear liquid. He plays completely normal and his appetite is still there. He doesn't drag his bottom on the floor and doesn't over groom. I don't know what is wrong with him but I can not handle any more dirty blankets, sheets, furniture, and carpets. I absolutely can't afford to keep taking him to the vet every month. Please help, I am at my wits end

Confine the baby to a smaller room such as a bathroom with tile floor for the next few days to protect your home. Do visit and play and love Zulu often. Finish his antibiotic course and see if the vet can give you some forta flora samples to put on his food after the antibiotics are out of his system to replace his good bacteria that the antibiotics killed. Do not change his food at this time. Ensure he gets enough fluid-preferably wet food at this time as he is loosing so much fluid.

Good luck
