Hello All,

I have two cats, one who just turned 4 years this month (woot!), and another rescue who is going to be 2 years this year. Our youngest was kept at a rescue as a feral kitten. She was adopted and returned because she was terrified of humans. When she was about 8 months old I adopted her from the rescue. The bottom line is, I had the patience and love to give her the time she needed. Both of my cats get along and are loving- I'm very lucky.

Starting in the beginning of April I will be having all the carpet replaced, all the tile and grout cleaned, and a good amount of new furniture delivered. We already live in a small 2 bedroom apartment. Even though my baby does wonderful around her family; strangers, or even vacuuming can make her hide for a good 8 hours- so I am so worried about what this will do. When she goes to the vet she gets so afraid she loses controls of her bowels and wets herself, it breaks my heart. I would be afraid of putting her in the bathroom with my other little one because our place is so small it would be loud... I would appreciate and ideas or suggestions.

Could you board the cat or temporary rehome her with friends or family until the renovations are done?I had to board my Aby once when I had some ceiling pipe work fixed. I guess I didn't really have to but I didn't want him to get in the way of the workers and eating stuff he's not supposed to
. My cat was boarded for a few days.
