Hello from Japan. :)

Hi everyone,

I adopted a cat, roughly 5 years old, before moving into our in Japan. I've had a few cats before a long time ago, but none this old while being adopted so I have a few questions that I came here as I'd like some personal opinions/answers. 

BTW, here she is...her name is Willow.

Thank you. We adopted her from a family that rescued her about 8 months ago.

Thank goodness as they are quite expensive here.

Yes, it's crazy expensive to buy a kitten at a pet store, isn't it?

Luckily there are a few groups that do fostering and adoption. Plenty of stray cats out on the streets too. That's how I got most of mine. 

Which part of Japan do you live in? I'm on the Yamanashi side of Fuji.

We live in Musashi-Murayama. We've been here for 7 years, love it and should be here for another 3.

Yes, not only are the cats expensive...but so are their toys. Was in the market for a playpen/tent for the cat and I floored by the price.
