We found 3 kittens while lived in california. Ran from the shelter since wanted to kill them. Took to a vet so tested for some cancer aids things and shots. So all are upto date. Started fixing kittens when were of age and weight so could gift them. One of the girls was small so she wasn't fixed. But we moved and ended up taking all three cats with and that one ran away when we moved to new house. She is home and pregnant I do believe. She is fat and feel nipples. The vet wants to terminate since not pure bred. I purchased a new bed for her and gave her blankets. Is there anything else I should do??? Concerned and don't want her hurt

create few nesting boxes from cardboard boxes and place them various places in the house so she can choose which one she wants to have them. usually cats do fine when giving birth, but sometimes there can be problems so be prepared to call the vet if needed esp it life or death.

here some great links

So you dont want her spayed and aborted?   It may be a good idea if you do have a vet who is experienced with this.  Its not difficult medically for a vet who is experienced.

Also, you must spay her anyway if not now so later.   So economically its no big deal either.

But you do of course decide, and we will support you whichever you choose.

Here are some of our usual links.

You are welcome with further questions, and please, do report how it goes!

Good luck!

Most of these links have been readied by our forumist  Red Top Rescue:

We have a good collection of articles in the Cat Health section which you can access by scrolling up to the brown bar, clicking on Articles, and then choosing the Cat Health section and scrolling through the choices.  To make this super easy for you, I am copying the links regarding birth, delivery and newborns for you here.  After reading this information, let us know if you have any more questions.  And good luck with your approaching new arrivals.

Great idea just moved so my husband is getting all the small boxes out that we kept. I have blankets galore so no issue with that. Closest vet is large animal but he stated would try if needed. If not hour drive. Thanks for the links.

She will be spayed once delivered and all kittens will be fixed when old enough. hope someone will love them when I give them away. But when she was of age to fix she was 3 lbs and wasn't advised by the vet. Other two were fixed.

i would wait until the kittens are fully weaned and her milk is dry up then get her fixed. but it your choice

A another Member only recommends spaying  any sooner after birth is if the cat feral and needs to be released back outside. but as the cat is yours, you can wait until the kittens fully weaned

Do not give they away unless to people you KNOW, and whom will adopt them as something precious.   The easiest way to get  OK adoption home is to take some payment.  For example, they pay the sum for  spaying.

There is more to say that, but the main thing - let them pay some money, or equivalent.

My husband and I are just so used to dogs not cats. We work with service dogs so really was used to only puppy's around. Now we may have more cars than dogs soon ...lol

I guess I could ask for an adoption few cause now I do an inspection and interview process. Which no one has passed but one person. So far we have had an animal hoarder, one that couldn't afford to feed her family but wants a cat... Crazy after crazy

yeah don't post a sign on your driveway saying free kittens, there a risk of them going to bad homes when you do that. first try to give them to people you know and know will take care of them. if nobody you know. you can post a ad somewhere like a vet clinic, asking a rehoming fee, typing up a contract, asking questions, asking for a reference like a vet, even a family member reference can be helpful, you never know their family member might start talking about how they never home and always at work or on trips too much to take care of the kitten,

people shouldn't complain about you asking questions, signing a contract and showing id or about rehoming fee unless it too high. call their vet to confirm and if they good people.

She has 20 nesting boxes to choose from. Each one tomorrow will have its own litter box and food and water dishes. And ordered a play yard gate so can block them off with some needed space where ever she chooses. Great links thank you everyone

Since I don't need the fee will have them donate to animal shelter or charity. They get a tax write off . But so far i require no other pets, I go into the homes and must be clean and smoke free. I found a lady who is retired just lost her hubby and needed a companion. Financially stable and home is clean and smoke free. She wants the Pregnant cat since she looks like one she owned years ago. So is waiting. I want her to heal after being fixed.

Lots of options want her to feel happy and secure . Placed everywhere I feel I can keep her safe. I still have service puppy's in training in my home. The other two cats since don't know how they will act and worst of all 2 toddlers. My older three kids know not to pester or touch. They will just ignore them

"Kittens go through their socialization period between 2-7 weeks of age. This means that the socialization falls on the breeder. The kittens should be exposed to everything possible from metal food dishes dropping, to vacuums, garage doors opening and closing, thunderstorms, sirens, garbage trucks going past, dogs and other pets, car rides, etc. Do not try to keep the area quiet during the day. The kittens need to get used to normal household noises. Children should be allowed to play with the kittens with supervision. Everything the kittens are exposed to now will help them become well-socialized, unafraid adults. Each kitten should be handled 30-40 minutes a day between 2 and 7 weeks of age. This time should consist of petting, playing, and talking with them. The kittens learn by imitating the queen. They will learn to fear what she fears. They learn to hunt by watching her and then practicing with prey she brings back to the box."
