My cat is pregnant. She was a stray and showed up in my barn. She was pregnant so I brought her inside to my spare bedroom. She has food, water, litter box, nesting box, plus a nice window to let sunshine into. Since she showed up I am not sure how far along she is into her pregnancy. I am tried looking up a lot of things to tell me how far along she is. Judging by everything that I have read I think she is close to 9weeks. But now the struggle is when are the babies coming? Its a hard thing to wait for just knowing that at any moment little kittens will be here. So can anyone help me determine when she might have them? Is it soon? All day she has been purring loudly. She typically purrs when someone pets and cuddles with her but now she is purring no matter what. She isn't screaming just purring loudly. There isn't anything coming out of her which I know is a typical sign of birth arriving soon. Her nipple are pink and squishy which until today they have been pink but kind of firm. There isn't any milk coming out. There is dried skin or milk or something on the tip of her nipples. The babies are very active in her stomach, rolling and kicking all around. From what I can tell it seems like they have dropped. She has also seemed to have lost some fur, not a lot just a few little tuffs of it here and there (she is grey so it shows up on the carpet and blakets) could this be the fur from her nipples? Is it normal? She is eating and drinking nonstop I keep filling up them both and she runs over and starts eating and drinking again like she has never eaten before. Right now she is laying on her side purring and kind of breathing heavy (heavier than our other cat) She keeps coming over to me and wants me to rub her tummy, almost like it relaxes her but after about 5 minutes she pushes me away. What does all of this mean.. Are babies going to come soon? I know that all cats are different with different signs of labor but I just am excited to see them:) Thanks guys

Sounds like my pregnant kitty! And my cat is in her 9th week. Although Ive done a bit of research and I found out that when the queen is close to giving birth she will have a decrease in appetite

Ok! Thank you! I have done a little bit of research as well which has made me confused. Some say they will lose their appetite and others say they will increase their appetite, I guess it just depends on the cat :) Does yours have the dried stuff on her nipples? If so what is it?? I have tried to look it up to see but cant really find anything :)

Yes! She has like dried white scab-like crust on her nipples. I beleive its colostrum (kitty milk) I read somewhere that you can get a warm wet washcloth and gently wipe them.
