Hi Everyone
I have a cat that is taking 5mg of Prednisolone and has been on it for quite some time for IBD and possibly intestinal lymphoma. She is also taking 2.5mg of Amlodipine for high BP and 1/4 tsp of Potassium (she's also got kidney disease). The short story is I gave her the meds as usual in a pill pocket and then mixed the potassium in tuna to make sure she ate it. She's not a cat that vomits. Unfortunately, she did vomit up the tuna right after eating it (I think she just ate it too fast!). The other meds were given just before it. I was in such a rush to just wipe up the vomit that I didn't think to look to see if the pills were thrown up.
Should I give her more meds or perhaps a half dose just to make sure she got them? I know you cannot just stop giving Pred.
Thank you!
Melanie
