Hello! I apologize if any threads like this have been made before.

We recently found out that my mom's cat is pregnant again, this is her third time. The only unfixed male in the house is one of the cats that I raised and kept from her first litter, so now I'm a little anxious about diseases and physical problems these kittens might face. We can't afford to get her spayed at the moment and the veterinarian will charge extra to abort the kittens. I did a little research and I've read about inbred kittens living short lives and having several diseases, mostly heart related, however I'd like to know if anyone had any firsthand experience.

As I said this is the female's 3rd pregnancy, and the other two were a breeze with no complications at all. She's about a week and a half along at the moment. I just don't want the litter to be born sick, or have complications later in life.

So early, she is hardly pregnant at all.   Raise the money as quickly you can and off you go!!!   You dont even need to tell the vet she has mated, and he will almost surely NOT notice.

After all, you must spay her sooner or later. Better now then later.

But to your question.  With a little luck, there will perhaps not be any serious complications, if you prefer to have the kittens delivered.

They will perhaps be a shade smaller.  or get own litter of just 2-3 instead of 4-5.

Good luck!

There are many low cost spay/neuter clinics/programs. I live near a rescue that does spay and neuter for only $60. Thats really just change-money, compared to what could be spent at a normal price at a vet hospital. I've even seen CHEAPER than $60 spay and neuter programs being offered, all that has to be done is just drop off the kitty at the place and usually pick them up same day.
