My kitty has always hat a baby sitter when we have been away, however over Christmas we had to put her in a cattery as alas, her sitter has moved to another city. The 10 days at the cattery has messed up her eating habits very badly. She used to eat a high quality wet food mornings and evenings with a bit of kibble left out during day when we are at work. Whilst at the cattery she refused to eat her wet food and would only eat dry kibble. The lovely lady running the cattery told me that my cat would not even eat the kibble during the daytime but would eventually gobble it all up at night when nobody was looking. Since Suki has been back at home which is going on two months now, she still refuses to eat her wet food. I have spent a small fortune on other brands of tinned food, trying to find something she will eat, but miss fussy pants is having none of it. She only wants her kibble, which she barley touches during the day, but as she did in the cattery, gobbles up during the night. I have been trying to re-establish fixed mealtimes with the kibble as recommended on this site, so that I can eventually get her to start eating wet food again but am having a lot of trouble with this. I am giving her 50 grams of kibble per day, which is just over a quarter cup, splitting the 50 grams up over up over 2 mealtimes  She will eat maybe 5-10 pieces of kibble at one go, sometimes not even that much. So in order to ensure that she is getting enough calories, I give her the remaining balance of kibble at night. She eats all the kibble up over night and then will barley eat during the day again. I am having so much difficuly to establish a meal time as often she doesnt even want the kibble when I put it down. But every night it disappears, so she is happily free-feeding at night. I also put down a bit of wet food during mealtimes, which sometimes she will lick but won't actually eat.  I am already at my wits end with this. I have tried giving her less kibble at night in the hope that she eats more during the day, which she sometimes does at morning mealtime. However, at the evening meal, she will barely eat again, as if she is waiting to free-feed during the night. I would really appreciate some advice, at the rate I am going with establishing mealtimes, it will be Christmas again before I even have a hope of getting Suki onto wet food again!
