Well, I think I have a pregnant kitty on my hands! My friend picked up a cat off her grandparents farm and she thinks she is pregnant because she saw two toms breeding her.

I brought her to my place for now. She isn't too big yet and her nipples aren't very pink - two look pinker then the others. But they are bigger than my spayed cats nipples for sure.

Since she was mated is it pretty much 100% she is pregnant? I've never had a pregnant cat so I an trying to learn the ropes!!

I am uploading a couple pics of her. I will try to get some of her nipples tonight.

Once she had the kittens we are getting her spayed. My friend said she has had tons of litters. :( She is about 6 years old too so I am hoping if she is pregnant it all goes well.

Yes, unless she is sterile, its quite probable she is pregnant.  Also, cats really dont need heat.  They are inductive ovulators, so they may become pregnant if mated when not in heat too...

So count on this.

How long ago was this witnessed mating done?  The teats usually get raspberry rose quite exactly on the 21 day.

If she isnt later than this,  is a spaying / abortion, possible for you?  Medically it is no big deal for a competent vet surgeon.   Ethically it is another question though, especielly with late spaying...

We will help you with advices and support, whichever way you choose.

She is a beautie. Has almost the looks of a  Russian Blue.   But is a Maltese cat, as all grey ("blue") cats, without proven descendency, are called.    :)

Good luck!

Yes, she is a gorgeous kitty! Really sweet natured too. My friend thinks it was a couple weeks ago or so she was bred.

We would prefer to let her have the kittens and then get her spayed as soon as she has weaned them.

I will keep a close eye on her and keep watching her nipples. I'll see if she will let me get some pics tonight too.

Thank-you for your advice! I really appreciate it!

Yes, count on her being prego.

If she has had several litters already, the best thing would be to get her nutrients that were depleted prior.

High quality ingredient foods, kitten dry food along with canned is fine but make sure there is decent canned daily, even adding in a multi vitamin for extra help.

Mark your calendar, you will be feeling anxious around the time she is due and will want to remember right when she will be having them :)

Then be sure to get her butt spayed! :)

I already have her on a high quality dry food - I will start adding canned tomorrow! I definitely want her and her kittens to be as healthy as possible. I'll mark the date so I have a pretty good idea of when she is due. I hope it goes smoothly for her!

I got a couple pictures of her belly - they aren't very good, but maybe it will give some idea. I think they look like they are getting pink. Do the nipples usually stay pink the whole pregnancy?

It's hard to tell anything from the pics.

I've also found that cats will vary a good amt as to when they turn pink, basically when there is pressure starting of course you will see the diff, but now there isn't pressure, but the start of conjuring up milk production will also make them start to appear pinker than norm.

I got a few more pictures. I sure wish she could talk and tell me what is going on! lol

Maddie is being super affectionate and rolling around purring! Most of her nipples do look kinda pink, but not a bright pink. Since she has had kittens in the past could that be why her nipples are larger, or is that a pretty sure sign of pregnancy? With my cats that are spayed I can hardly see or find their nipples, they are so tiny!
