I think my cat might have eaten some roach gel I just set out!! What do I do?!

My favorite cat in the world pulled out a tray of roach gel I just set out and I saw her face down near the gel. The gel looks like it has been tampered with. I don't know if it got on her paw, if she licked any.. She was constantly licking her lips and soon after got a drink of water. Is there anything I can do? Will it hurt her? I would be devastated if she died.

Roach poison and any other similar insecticide and products are potentially toxic if ingested. I suggest calling the vet or a vet ER and asking for advice. They may say to keep a close eye on the cat for the next few hours or to bring the cat in right away. If you can, give the vet the name of the roach gel that your cat might have gotten into. Knowing what the cat might have ingested makes it a lot easier to start the proper treatment if it is needed.
