Hello, I recently rehomed a cat from a friend of my partners which we called Jenson. We were told that Jens hadnt been done, had not had his jabs was 16 months old and had not been outside. He has a cloudiness in his right eye which apprently he has always had and the lady gave us a gel salve she had got from the vets for him but by the looks of it it was only used once. At frist we thought he was just a small cat believing he was 16 months old and i was looking to see if his testicles had appeared yet so i could take him to be done but ... no sign of them at all. I was then wondering if he was actually a she. After a few people had checked him they said he has either been done or he is 6 months old not 16. Since then i have been questioning everything that we were told. I have booked jenson in to the vet to have a look at his eye. It doesnt bother him it isnt red or inflaimed it doesnt weep / water and doesnt look swollen around his eye. If anything it looks totally normal apart from the cloudiness. I have been dooing research on eye conditions and i am almost certain that it is cataracts from the information i have read and images i have looked at. I wont find out until tuesday what the vet thinks it is but i believe jenson is 6 months old or there about so i have learnt that cats under 8 get juvenile catatacts. Has anyone else had this before, with no irratiation / imflammation etc. any help would be great!
