Ok, so my cat lips are swollen, but only in the corner of her mouth on one side. It started as chin achne (which is now cleared up with the help of a topical spray) but now I've noticed the corner of her mouth is swollen. I had her eating a much lower quality cheap food for a couple week, then she developed these skin problems (she also has developed flaky skin). Yesterday I put her back on the Blue Buffalo wilderness food, threw away her plastic bowls, and gave her stainless steel bowls. I've also put peroxide on the swollen part around her mouth. I'm not sure what to do for her or what this could be and the vet is a last resort due to cost. Can anyone tell me what she may have or how to treat her??

She needs to be seen by a vet to rule out anything other than a food allergy and to make sure those sores don't become infected or abscessed.  If it is a food allergy, switching to a limited ingredient food might be in order.

Hi I know this is an old post but my cat is currently going through the same thing! It started as chin acne with black spots, developed into bumps under his chin, and now both corners of his mouth look like this - one much worse than the other. Did you end up taking your cat to the vet? Do you remember what the diagnosis was?

Again, although an old post, did you happen to also get information on this?
