Thank you for the info Riley! I think 9 to 10 weeks would be good. I will talk to the vet about it more.

She is good. still curled up in her box next to my desk. She was a little anxious earlier. She kept pacing back and fourth between the two boxes and then would lay down to get right back up again. So I thought something might happen but now she is peacefully sleeping....... This waiting is definitely more stressful on me! Lol

How is yours?? Anything new?
Same here! Every time I think something is about to happen, she goes back into a deep sleep lol! She was uber lovey dovey earlier though, cuddling in bed with me and even tried getting under the covers, that was certainly a first time!

Yeah mine was similar. I went to the store for about an hour and when I came home she jumped up on the table and wouldn't even let me put the bags down bc I had to pet on her right then and there lol.

So I have another question. I woke up today and Callie doesn't seem as pregnant as she did yesterday. I searched everywhere to see if she might have had a kitten but found nothing. Could this just be the kittens dropping??

The most probable is its kitten dropping, yes.   But wise you did a search, to be sure.    :)      If she had a miscarriage and ate up the result, it cant be helped, but it would be great pity to have a alive kitten hidden somewhere....

But as said, the most probable was the dropping.  And you feel the kittens move less now, and further down compared with before.

There is only 1 room I have open for her to go into besides the living room and kitchen, which is my room. I searched everywhere she could have had a kitten and found signs of nothing, I figure if she did have a miscarriage then there would have at least been some blood or something there but as I said I saw nothing. After the kittens "drop" about how long until she has them? If it is more than likely today or tonight I will stay up all night with her. I would just like to know. I really hate going to sleep every night and I dread waking up in the morning to possible kittens only because as I stated earlier I have nothing but tile floor in my house and I do not want her having them on the floor.

Yes! This definitely sounds like the kittens have dropped, and they are getting aligned with the birth canal for their grand entrance to the world! When you look at her side profile, does her belly appear to be closer towards the ground? All of the weight from the sides of her belly will drop down towards the ground, because the kitties have squirmed around and they dropped. I haven't yet noticed this with Michelle, so you're lucky! I also didn't notice this with the last pregnant stray that I took in. Her belly looked rather large the last night before delivering, I always assumed this was because there was 8 kittens in there, so even though some dropped, there were so many that it went unnoticed. I don't think Michelle is having 8 kitties though! So hopefully I do notice the belly drop.

If it does seem closer to the ground then it is maybe only a little. When she lays down I can see that she is just as pregnant as yesterday. It is only when she stands up that she seems a bit thinner. She has been laying in her box next to my desk all day today so I really do hope it will be soon. The stress of going to bed every night praying she does not have kittens while I am asleep (or at least if she does she has them in one of her boxes) and the stress of waking up each morning going in search of kittens that she might have had on the cold tile floor is killing me lol.

Well it definitely sounds like she is on the road to labour. They should be here soon! :)

Ok I have a question. I woke up this morning to one kitten and it was a bit cold. I moved the queen and the kitten to a new box and they are cuddling but it doesn't seem like the kitten is getting any milk. Can it take a bit for the milk to come in or should I get some kmr just to be safe?

Congratulations!

Firstly, is mama still in labour? I'd assume so. Usually the milk is already in during labour because the nursing kittens bring on strong contractions so that mama finishes labour quicker, and easier.

Is the first kitten cranky and crying a lot? This is a good indicator that the kitten is probably hungry and not nursing correctly. When the kitten has a good latch, you won't miss it. You might even notice the kitten kneading mamas belly to help draw the milk out.

Watch the kitten closely in the next half hour or so. If she/he still doesn't appear to be feeding, then it would be wise to run out and grab the PetAg KMR.

Best wishes-

Well she is not in hard labor at the moment. But this kitten is a bit cranky. It will search around for about 10 minutes meowing the entire time and then it will seem to find a nipple and eat for 5 minutes.

Well, a little milk consumption is better than none, but each kitty should have about 15-20 minutes of uninterrupted nurse time.

Continue to keep a close eye on the kitty and its littemates. You may need the KMR, but just wait and see! Is the kitten feeling and staying warm yet? A heating pad will help tremendously! Has any more kitties been born yet?

Keep me posted :)

I think the kitten is finally getting milk. And yes the kitty is warm now, that was the first thing i did was put a hearing pad in there. No more kittens yet. I think she's taking breaK. I did get to weigh this kitten and it is 101 grams. I'm going to leave her be for a bit and check back in about 30 minutes.
