Yes, canned food can be frozen Use silicone ice cube trays to it's easy to pop out the frozen cubes and store in a freezer bag until needed. I don't know if chunk type foods lose texture after being frozen though.

some people think freezing actually is better than refrigerating.  They say sometimes being in the fridge changes the food somewhat, whereas freezing doesn't (as long as it isn't in the freezer too long ).  I agree to freeze it in small portions so all you need do is defrost a single serving at a time.
