I have a semi feral 9 month old, and was only able to get about half of her strongid down her throat...she was so scared. Have another dose for 2 weeks from now...will this be enough to get those nasty roundworms ?

You might try getting some Nemex-2 from your local feed store.  My cats actually LIKE the taste of it, which makes worming a whole lot easier.  The cat dose is usually twice the dog dose for the same weight.

Red Top Rescue..thanks for info...she wont let me get near her...that's the main problem. Very skiddish still.  Just hoping the half dose and hopefully the next dose will be enough..May try putting it in with wet food, she loves that. But glad to know I can get an over the counter for this. Thanks so much.

Red Top Rescue, can they have Too much of a dewormer? What I mean is, if I still have a problem getting this second dose into her, just some of it, could she take too much if I purchase the med your talking about ?

I have seen Nemex-2 suggested many times on this site.  My vet & at the shelter they always do a fecal test & then prescribe different antibiotics for different types of worms.  Does this product take care of all types of worms?

the dose for cats is 9 mg/lb. the pyrantel in nemex has a moderate margin of safety. doses up to 7 times the recommended dose have not resulted in toxic reactions

Drontal  for cats contains both praziquantel and pyrantel. This combination will take care of tapeworm, roundworm, and hookworm.
