can low quality dry food cause hair loss in both cats and dogs?

It could if there was something in it, that they were maybe allergic to.

If the food was really low quality, it might be lacking in essential vitamins and minerals which are needed for basic health.

Is there a specific brand you're thinking of?

i got a dog and this coat is not healthy, some hair loss, anf my parents is not going to bring him to a vet. so i am wondering if better food will help, how about fish oil?

A good quality diet will often help improve a rough coat, and adding fish oil or Dr. Maggies will give it an extra boost. It takes time, though, to see results, so keep at it. After a good month, you should see some improvement.

where can i find dr maggies? i just hope it diet related
