It's been a long time since i updated on Argyle. We rescued him at 3 weeks old. He was left alone on the side of the road. We bottle feed him for 3 1/2 weeks. He grew and grew with no issues at all. He is now 19 weeks old. He is so fun to watch race through the house, flip and attack toys. :dash: Sometimes i think he is almost dog like carrying toys around. He even plays catch with a tennis ball. He loves to fly over, around, under furniture. Climb everything from his cat tree jump down to the couch, over the piano. then hide behind the books on the mantle for a nap. Typical kitten. As i type he is curled up on my chest being sweet.:bicolor:

But we are having some behavioral issues. He has what we call attack mode where he attacts you. He will wrap his front paws around you and do everything he can to bite. During these times we have tried ignoring the behavior and him, however he continues snd will gollow you out of yhe room Attacking your feet or jumping at your hands and arms. We finially resorted to a spray bottle of water. Now when he trys we get the bottle and he will turn awwsy and try to sneak attack from another side.

Will he out grow this behavior? Is it just him being a kitten? Or without ever having littermates to teach him how to behave, will he continue with this aggressive additude? Any suggestions? We have concidered adopting another cat around his same age, but didnt know if it would help or if we would then have 2 misbehaving. :nono:

It sounds like he tries to wrestle, doing his best to do it.  IF he were in for biting for real, you would notice it instantly.  When they bite for real, they bite deeply, even if not grown kittens.

You wouldnt never hesitate if it was a real bite or play bite.

Here, some of the bitings may even be love bites.    :)

So yes, I think a merry cat companion should do the trick.    :)

Or you willy nilly, must wrestle with him, perhaps using one arm.
