I'm posting this on behalf of my coworker. This video is her 10-year-old cat, Zildjian. She said a couple weeks ago he started walking like this. No head tilt, even pupils that are responsive to light. He's eating normally, not throwing up, not disoriented. She and her boyfriend have poked and prodded him and nothing seems out of place or seems to be causing him pain (but we know how well cats can hide pain when they want to!) She said he's able to jump on the bed, but not as gracefully as normal.
It's just in his back legs. His back right leg, he seems to be unable to fully extend it. but he can still jump, so it's not completely impossible, and she can straighten it out for him without him seeming distressed. The back leg leg just seems sort of uncoordinated, being thrown off by the other leg.
I'm sure ultimately this is going to require a trip to the vet, but any ideas about what it could be?
You should be able to view this video whether or not you have a Facebook account. That's her dog playing with a toy near the end there, not a noise the cat is making.
Thanks in advance!
