Cats hugs?

does your cats give you hugs? both mama and gray will give me hugs and the other day Tucker gave me a hug, which surprised me because he usually show his affection toward me in subtle ways. i believe that was the first hug he gave me if i remembered right or first hug in a long time

Tommy Boy (RIP) gave hugs. He was FelK positive, lived in a cat sanctuary in a room with other FeLK+ cats. He always climbed on my lap to get closer to me and wrapped his paws around my neck. He was very terriotorial--if another cat got close to me he would swat them away. I still miss that cat.
Another cat I may adopt/foster could be a candidate for hugger. Hercules was dumped a few years ago, always been inordinately friendly though I do think other people are feeding him, and, hopefully, giving him shelter in these frigid temperatures). He will climb on my lap and thighs when I sit down, trying to get closer to my face. So I can give HIM a hug. He is more friendly than Ritz, my resident cat who, while she loves her belly rubbed, isn't very affectionate.

We had one cat who loved to hug. Bug was very affectionate and always wanted to wrap his paws around us...


Makena, our Bengal, sometimes likes to hug a hand at night while my wife and I are asleep. Makena will very carefully wrap his paws around one of our hands, gently pull it toward himself, then lay his head on it and sleep. If you try to take your hand back, he digs his claws in to hold on: we have learned to be very careful when reclaiming our hands!

Gray would hug me forever if i let him unless he hungry then food is more important. Tucker just shows his tummy which isn't subtle. his tail, ears and eyes tells me he loves me. mama cat same way but will gave hugs
