What age to spay?

Hello :) I am wondering what the ideal age to spay a female cat is?

She is indoor and all of my other cats are fixed.

She is my failed foster kitten lol. I picked her up as a stray & fostered her for my local shelter but she never came around to being much of a people person. She is heavily bonded to me but won't let others touch her. So I decided to keep her. :)

The shelter spays cats way young & I always thought it was better to wait until they are alittle older? She is about 2-3 months old now.

Now is a good time.  She can be spayed as long as she weighs 2 pounds.

some vets do 2 months/ 2 pounds. i prefer 3 months/3 pounds. i would definitely do it by 4 months. a well-respected facility here, Southern Animal Foundation, will only fix cats that are at least 3 pounds.
