help help help not sure what happened. 2 yo cat started suddenly coughing and sneezing, vomited a little. stopped, then started coughing and sneezing again. has had history of coughing/food and environmental allergies. could he have inhaled dust or carpet fiber, some other irritant? acting normal now/playing. gave a little bit of hairball remedy just in case. we lost our last cat almost exactly 2 yrs ago to sudden heart failure so should i take him to ER vet or wait it out? i'm still shaking.

maybe vet tomorrow just in case?

I'm not sure what's going on. Your kitty could have an Upper Respiratory Infection or something else going on. It's better to take him to the Vet to have him checked out.

Do you have him on a hypoallergenic diet?

I'm so sorry for your prior loss! :hugs:

A vet visit wouldn't be bad, watch the coughing it could be heart problems. I don't mean to scare you, but it is better to have it checked out now to rule it out and make you feel better, or to get your cat some help with medicine, etc. Cats can live a long time with heart trouble that is managed, IF you know about it, cats are wonderful at hiding symptoms of illness.  It could also be just allergies, so L-lysine should be given to help build up the immune system. You can get it as treats on Amazon. I hope you find a solution, I'll pray that it is nothing serious. Think positive! All teh luck!
