Help Save Courageous Cupid.

This adorable young kitty is an unneutered male who was found laying outside in someones yard crying and not moving -- he either got attacked, abused or hit by a car.  His back left leg is completely ripped off. His back right leg is broken as well and the knee is out of its socket.  The vets feel he may need that back leg amputated. His tail is hanging off mid way down - needs tail amputation as well. LIFE, if he survives, is OVER As he knows it. He is VERY SWEET & FRIENDLY.

It is heartbreaking for him to have to go through this. He will need exams, X-rays, pain meds, bloodwork, fluids, admit to hospital,  fiv/felv test (negative) , vaccines, microchip, SURGERY to cut the bone and tie off ligaments to repair whats left of the socket, and remove part of the tail...ugh....We are praying he is not septic from such a traumatic injury and living outside for days like this. He is covered in mudd and matted dirt. 

Please donate to help us save him. WE don't cut corners ..and he needs the very best, esp after what he's gone through. My heart is BROKEN.  Cupid is a courageous survivor and derves a chance at a life where his is LOVED.

We will have a better idea of what funds are needed on Monday, Feb 9th when the ortho specialist is in.

We are all pulling for him!!!!

So Cupids surgery was successful and he seems to be doing really well considering. Thanks to all who have pulled for him and anyone who may have donated to his care. This is kind of a miracle in progress as I never thought he would make it this far. Thanks. (Below is the latest update on cupid)

Ok cupids valentines!! It's very obvious you all want to see your lover boy!

I finally spoke to the surgeon - he said all went as well as could be expected and the broken bone lined up perfectly with 2 pins. The other leg that was ripped off was removed mid thigh and he will be able to use that for sitting. His tail was amputated 3/4 of the Way down (so he is missing the last 1/4 of tail). AND he was neutered.

He did very well with Surgery and doesn't expect complications ... (paws crossed!). Could take up to 2 wks for him to use his leg or stand. Cold compress , massage , warm compress - lots of tlc.

We have some work to do but it will be well worth it!

The estimate is about $3000 for all vetting up to date (Which trust me is an AMAZING deal!!)

Just in case anybody is keeping up with Cupid the latest update is that he will most likely be discharged from the hospital on Monday and it appears the re-constructive surgery on his one remaining back leg has been successful. It will take some time for him to begin using the leg but this story is nothing short of a miracle. The go fund me page has almost reached the goal of $3000.00 so thanks to anybody that may have donated.  Wonderful news about Cupid!!! I pray for many blessings for Cupid and ALL who have helped him. Without your loving care, I doubt that he would have had the strength and will to pull through. I do hope that you can find a wonderful, caring home for him soon - perhaps with a lonely, kind teen girl who will treasure him for all their years together.
