this is Apollo. Petsmart told me he was a girl, that was not the case. and whenever he's taken to the vet they tell me different things.
I've been told he's a Maine coon, a forest cat, a tabby and even a calico. If you could help me out that would be great.

Tabby and Calico are not breeds, they are coat patterns.

Definitely looks like a main coon in the face. Nothing to compare to in the picture, but if he's an adult, full grown main coon, you won't be able to mistake it. They get huge. My cousin has a main coon. They are freaking huge. This one is not hers, but it should give you an idea of how big they get. The good news is, even though they are big, my cousins (and most from what I've heard) are incredibly laid back. That's good, cause this thing could kill even a medium sized dog if it had a mind to!

EDIT - To give you an idea of just how intimidating a Main Coon is - even though my cousin's cat is incredibly laid back and never done more that give it one good swat when he got too close too quickly (the cat will let him smell and lick him so long as he comes up slowly), my cousin's roommate has dog that is 50 lbs and the cat bosses it around without even having to hiss. The dog just goes, "I think my life will be better if I never once have to see this thing mad."

EDIT EDIT - My cousin's cat is slightly overweight at 25 lbs =) that should give you another idea. When I say "slightly" I mean you wouldn't even say "pudgy" just looking at him, but when you pet him you realize his body fat is high enough it has lowered the definition you feel in his features.

EDIT EDIT - It's also possible your cat has main coon in him, but is not full blooded (that would explain the face even if he is not big enough).

What a beautiful boy :heart3:

His color and pattern is a brown tabby :D For breed I would say he very much resembles a maine coon

He looks a bit like my maine coon in my avatar pic, except my boy has some white. ;)

Not even to mention, he has also a pedigree certifikate, and thus, you dont need to guess if he is a look alike, or a MCO for real.   :)

Katecolor,  I too agree you have a handsome boy, who looks quite a lot alike a Maine Coon.   If he has descendancy of a maine coon, or if he is one of the naturals, from which the MCO were pure bred from, we cant know.

Very handsome! Definitely some Maine Coon in there somewhere! The 'M' on his forehead and his coloring indicates a brown tabby. Long haired of course.

I just weighed him and he's 15 pounds.
he's also slightly smaller than my 3 month old border collie.

Depending on his age, he very well could still be growing. Main Coon's seem to keep growing later into life than most other cat breeds.

I'm going to ask what I always ask. Can you make a picture of his profile? So the side of his face. That way I can see how the mouth, nose and forehead is.

From what I can see now, he surely does look like a Maine Coon. Beautiful! :)
