Amazon sends most things out UPS so as long as there is a place they can leave a box safely you should be OK since they are not allowed to put stuff in your mailbox.

I finally got fed up with her attitude hahah and pulled a eat it or starve. I feed her twice a day and leave the food out for a hour.  She finally started eating the Natural Choice stuff after she realized I wasn't gonna fuss over her anymore..

have you ever tried the brand Tiki Cat?  Amazon sells it but I think only by the case.  if you're in CA, try Pet Food Express and smaller, non-chain pet supply stores (I pay around $2.70 for a 6 oz. can; it also comes in 3 oz. cans but then it ends up being more expensive).  this is human-grade canned pet food in lots of yummy flavors, chunk/flaked style.  my cat is very picky, and she loves it (though not all flavors - it will take some experimenting - favorites are Ahi Tuna, Salmon and Chicken).   I mix with Purina One, and we no longer have issues, though she recently decided she doesn't like the plain chicken flavor, but prefers it mixed with fish.  sigh ...

If you get to Petco, try their own canned food brand called Soulistic. It is a quality product and all my 6 cats like most of the flavors. I hope Marty finds something he likes soon!

What I do other than rotating wet, is to use half a nugget of primal freeze dried as a topper. that usually works.

Amazon.com sells it
My Himalayan has a issue eating pate and food with small pieces due to her squished face. Does anyone know of a brand that has large chunks? Like 1/2" square in size or a touch bigger? Those she are able to grab and eat. Any other type of food gets just pushed around on the saucer...

I have also noticed a similar phenomenon with mr. iggy. he eats his food until the edge of the plate and then sits and howls for more food.  Sometimes i will put the remaining food in a new plate - in the center of the plate and he will eat it… but not always.  and then i will open up a new can of the same food and plop it on his plate and he will eat it.  I feel your pain and frustration. WOuld love to hear what your vet says. Iggy is also very picky and will only eat one brand of food and one flavor and he too has intestinal issues/food sensitivities.

thanks

erica , iggy and zoey

Have you tried Wellness cat food? Also, Wild Calling & Tiki Cats are very good foods as well. Plus, I give my cats probiotics & they love plain greek yogurt, too.

you could try taste of the wild canned cat food, it has more like mini meat loaves shaped chunks in a little sauce. or blue buffalo brand makes different "lines" and i believe most offer you the choice of either regular/pate or "flaked" (it says "flaked" on the label), which is like a cross of mini meat loaves and slices. i'm not sure if the pieces of either taste of the wild or blue buffalo flaked are like 1/2" square in size or larger, but they're pretty good sized pieces. in fact, i mush up the chunks for my two cats because they look a bit (too) large to me. it might be worth trying either or both of those to see if they're what your girl needs.

just a note on taste of the wild canned. it seems that i'll see it on back order every so often but on a regular basis. i've found that blue buffalo's wilderness flaked red meat feast canned is very similar to taste of the wild's rocky mountain feline formula canned -- at least in some of the meats in them, and my cats love both flavors/brands.

Look for cans that say chunk morsels. Tiki  cat food has nice big shreds of food like if you would shred up some chicken or turkey.

Natures Variety Pride line has flaked which is chunks of meat in gravy.
The wellness pouches are squared chunks of meat. They are a bit smaller but maybe something to take a look at

Pride also has minced varieties. Natural Balance has pouches that are similar to the ones Wellness sells. I find them at Petco for .99 and they have a nice variety of flavors.

I'm dealing with this same issue with my Himalayan. I have practically tried every type and flavor and I'm running out of options. I'm even running into situations where she will actually eat one and I think I struck the jackpot, then next time she tries to bury it, like she does with ones she doesn't like. I've had a little success with raw chicken/chicken heart w/supplements, but it's touch and go. She did go crazy for some pieces of spiral sliced ham I had the other night, but I can't feed her people food.    I'm frustrated and I'm concerned for her health too.  :(
I have this issue with my cats . They are super picky and  very fickle .. I thought  I finally had  two brands they liked ..  I  was down to   one can of each and they completely refused both of them no matter how I fixed it ..

Have you tried Solid Gold tuna? My Mimi is extremely picky but she will lick her bowl (and our other cat's bowl) clean with this stuff. She also loves cooked salmon.

Our cat needed a few weeks to get used to the cat food we give her, and ate little for that time.  She now loves it, but I had to give her just a little of the canned food and let her eat a little, and then eat dry food.  I've never found that different food options are something a cat wants.  We use one brand and only 2 varieties, and switch back and forth.

That sounds like my guy.  He'll eat maybe an ounce of FF and then beg for something else.  And if I open another can, the same thing, eat a little and then beg for something else.  And then he'll eat something like he's loving it, so I'll buy more, and he won't touch it.  Sometimes, if I pick him up and put him in front of his dish, and sit with him and scratch his back, he'll eat a little more.  And I just sprinkled a little parm cheese on his leftovers, suggested by Mewlittle, and he seemed to like it and ate a little bit more.   Fancy Feast and Friskies is about the only thing he'll even touch.  The better foods, forget it.  Seems like all I do is open cans and throw out food.
