I have two adult cats, approximately 2 years old. They are brother (Paul Anka) and sister (Chula), both vetted and fixed. For financial reasons I am no longer able to keep them. If you know of anyone looking to adopt two well behaved, litter box trained, indoor cats please contact me for details.

Good news!  I just adopted these two wonderful cats!  I actually registered for the site just so I could reply and am so glad I did!  I had just started my hunt for a pair of adult cats in the Baltimore area when I saw this post.  I know the site moderators tell you that odds of finding a home for a cat in need through the site are very slim, but what can I tell you?  Somehow we came together!

Paul Anka and Chula just arrived a little while ago and are busy exploring.  I have been without a cat for almost a year and moved in the meantime - at last, my new place seems like a home again!   Their previous owner obviously took very good care of them and was heartsick at parting with them so I'm just thrilled to be able to give them a home!

This is the BEST thing I have read in a long time! How wonderful for you, the previous owner, and especially the 2 cats - and they know each other and will bond even further being together with you who so needed their friendship too!  I am just sooo happy for the 3 of you!

(or make that 4 for the previous owner who must have worried how they would fare)

I am so glad we could help! Thank you for adopting them and I hope you stick around to tell us how they're doing and just enjoy the company of fellow cat lovers!

I don't believe in coincidences either and I couldn't agree more. The Cat Goddess always knows best. This is great news!! @Margd  I wish you many years of happiness with your 2 new babies. Welcome to TCS!!

Thanks for the welcome!  This is a great site - I'm so glad I found it!

Paul Anka and Chula are doing very well, after being a bit subdued the first night.  They are now sleeping in the sun on the windowsill, having just had a big play together.  It is so fantastic having them here - Paul Anka slept on my bed last night, a definite step in the right direction!  Both are very affectionate and well behaved - really, I couldn't ask for a better pair of cats.  I missed my old cats so much and now finally have a home again.
