Until my 12 week old kittens get a little bigger and older, I'm keeping them in my bedroom. Anyways at night it can get a little cold in their even with the heat on. I ordered a small table top electric heater to put on my very tall dresser to keep the room warm for them as I read that they should stay warm. It would only come on when the room is cold and then automatically turn off when it gets up to temp. Is it ok to do this.

As your kitten is already 12 weeks old, I don't think he needs this. Unless it gets extremely cold in your bedroom, of course. It're more younger kittens that can't take care of their temperature yet and will need to be in warmer places.

It's not extremely cold in there, just a little chilly and I wasn't sure age wise when kitten did need to be in warmer places. Thanks for the information.

Very true, and fairly risky too, as that age they can be little monkeys and find trouble anywhere!

They will be fine, if they get cold they should have a snuggly bed in there they can go to :)

Thanks. Including my bed, they each have their own cat beds they can lay on. I'm new to the whole kitten thing, so I just wanted to check and see what the forum had to say on the matter.

Try a covered hot water in their bed. They'll snuggle up to each other and keep warm

I assume your meant putting a covered hot water bottle in one of the kitty beds.

Heating pads are nice as well unless they like to chew on cords.  That way they can choose to use the warmth or not.  As others have said they can keep each other warm or use you!
