Hi kitty online, welcome to the site!

Sometimes using google is not always the best thing to do, because there are so many stories and different things to consider, it can make you crazy with worry!

Can you tell me about your cat? Age, indoor, outdoor, etc?

How long have you noticed and how much, and where exactly on his body is this happening?

On his back towards his tail by chance? His tummy?

It sounds like fleas, like the rest of us.......

It's very hard this time of year to keep them off of our kitties, even with a topical. They don't seem to be doing their job so good.

Ok thank you do you know any products that could help get rid of the fleas beside like the normal flea collar it seems as if it doesn't work at least the ones I buy

I would stay away from collars like Hartz stick with products like Frontline or Advantage.  They are a thick liquid that you put between what would be the shoulder blades on us.  From what I have seen here Advantage seems to be working better now.

I haven't used it but there is an over the counter pill called Capstar to get rid of an infestation.  From what I have heard you will literally see fleas begin falling off within 30 minutes.

I'm not all that fond of capstar, unless it is for perhaps a new cat coming home to a house with no other pets, and will be indoors only.

Then of course you want to be rid of the fleas before entering the house, but it does not do anything for flea larvae and eggs, and is gone within 24 hours.

So in my opinion, the topical advantage 11 is best.

Frontline is iffy, semi works but not as well as advantage 11 in my opinion.

Good luck!
