I did not get much this year because I did not work much last year, but the little I got its going towards paying a bunch of stuff.

Obviously I had to get something for my babies so I bought this water fountain and I'm really excited to see how Maia and Foley are going to react. I hope they love it. I also got Maia a new carrier. I hope I get it before Friday because that's when she's going to the vet for her physical.

So are you going to spoil yourself and loved ones or have you planned what you are going to do with the money you get back? (if you get back, my boyfriend has to pay :( )

We had to pay almost every year before we had kids.

We are buying a wood stove for our house.  It kind of stinks to put it all toward one expensive thing; but sometimes that's just life as an adult.
The stove was supposed to be installed today; but it didn't arrive in time and the weather wouldn't have allowed it anyway.  It SHOULD be installed on Wednesday.  I don't even have the final price on it and I won't until they are here and see exactly how much piping they need and that sort of thing.  DH took today off so he could be here for the install; now it looks like I will be the one in charge of that.

If we get a refund, we always just apply it towards next years tax bill.

A Rug Doctor. Oh the joys of having an elderly dog and carpeting.
It's the mighty pro x3 pet pack.

We are buying a new bed and pillows. We need it desperately, our bed is uncomfortable. Baby needs new clothes too, he's growing too fast.

I have a lot of things I want (I've never owned new towels and dang it, I'm getting some in 2015) but I have horrible anxiety when it comes to spending money. I feel buyers remorse anytime I buy a new toothbrush. It seems like anytime I spend extra money on a "want" (furniture, tattoo, etc) some random expensive thing will pop up, like my car breaking down.

So I just put everything into savings. Which I know sounds responsible but I wish I were less boring and would let myself do stuff. I do pull from my savings occasionally though, usually for my daughters Christmas gifts.

I'm also going to take my DD  to Disney World for her birthday next month. She wants to go to the Magic Kingdom. She'll be 20 going on 6 for a day. She goes to school in Orlando so you'd figure she'd want to go somewhere else during spring break but no. This is what the queen wants and what the queen wants, the queen gets.

Hahaha awesome. I hope mine still wants me to take her to places like Disney when she's 20!

LOL!  20 going on 6!  I love it!  Are you going to get her a tiara and have her take her picture with the princesses?
It sounds like a fun day!

Only if she will let me. When she was little, she LOVED the little mermaid. They have Ariel's Grotto with a girl dressed like her there. You can get her autograph, take pics, etc. We waited in the rain for over an hour to meet her and DD was sooooo excited. Like someone getting to meet Elvis or something. The girl playing Ariel was so nice to her. Maybe I'll get her to go visit Ariel again

If we even get a tax refund (we seldom do), we have two cats that need dental cleanings, so it would go toward their vet bill.

In Canada we have until the end of April to do our taxes. Most places don't issue their tax slips until February.  Whatever tax refund I get is going to pay off (or down) my credit card.  I've been off work since the beginning of August for medical reasons, and it took some time for my EI to kick in and once that ran out I was without income for over a month until my long term disability kicked in.  So I had to use my credit card.  Since I went bankrupt back in 2007, the concept of being in debt gives me huge anxiety, so the faster I can pay this credit card off, the better I'll feel.

Had it not been for this, I would have put the money into the bank.

What's a REFUND?!!!!! Ever since we sold our rentals on contract and my husband retired, we have to pay on the interest and pay in. I guess it's a good reason to pay in if you have to have one, but I HATE giving money to the government to mostly pay for those who choose not to work, I work hard for my money!

Our bed is really uncomfortable too. Sadly I did not even get enough for that. Maybe next year I will if I go back to college this one.

Side by side pictures of "then and now" would be cute!
I just bought my BFF a Thomas Kinkade Ariel puzzle for her bday.  I may have to put it together for her though.
Ariel has always been her favorite and her sewing room is a nautical theme.  The puzzle should be frame-able for that room.

I haven't done my taxes yet. Still waiting for a few more tax documents. In the past when I did get a refund, I put it all towards the mortgage balance. I did once take some money to buy a 6 foot cat tree.

What is a refund? I will hand prepare them and snail mail them on April 15 at midnight!!! I will make them do a little data entry and put them in their computer system to work for the check I had to write them

My husband thinks cat food should be a tax deduction, or they should get social security numbers and be our dependants because they are treated better than some people's children.

Bahahah! Oh man, I WISH I could claim my cats as dependents. Or write off some of their expenses. A girl can dream...

I usually just put it in the bank. It gives more wiggle room for monthly expenses. But I don't get much back---around $300-$600 if I do it right. I fiddle with my withholding so they don't get to keep too much of my money interest-free! :lol3:
