I have a date this week!

Good luck with your date. I met my boyfriend online, we've been together 3 years and have just moved in together (2 months ago). It was the only blind date I've ever had. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

I was just thinking, what I consider a completely blind date, is when someone sets up the date, and you know absalutely nothing about the date, and have not had any contact with the person. I would do that here, but maby not in the US, except if someone I know know this person (work with him etc..)
When that has been contact, mabe over some time over the internet, I wouldn´t say it´s completely blind, even though I wouln´t have seen a pic of the other person, I then I would have been able to get to know the person a bit (even though everyone can lie on the internet about all kinds of personal stuff), so I would do that anywhere.

I mean here you go and have a cake and coffee at a restaurant or into a shop and lieve your child outside sleeping in the pram, I quess we trust the next person more here then over there.

I have met one online guy (with date potential) in my life and it was a TRIP. Of course I was only 14, it was my first date ever and his too so it can't be compared, but I will say that now almost 10 years later we are STILL really good friends although nothing ever came of it. I'd do it again in a heartbeat

I flew to Vegas to meet someone I met online once. It was good for while, but it did eventually change my life for the better. I wouldn't be here in San Diego and would have never met Hubby if it hadn't been for the online date. It's scary, but I've also heard of people who have really met a good, compatible mate doing it too.

I was on one blind date.. when I was like 15 though. The guy showed up in a red cowboy hat with big cowboy boots.. and on our first date we went to see that movie with whitney houston on it.. lol.. and iiiii willl alllwayyyys looooveee youuuuuu.. when she started singing, he turned around, grabbed my hand and told me he loved me lol. then he gave me this ring that he said costed $150.. and then we saw it later at Zellers for $2.00! LOL it makes me laff. i had to share it with you. I'm sure your blind date will turn out great! You do seem like a nice guy! i've never seen your picture so i can't comment on the looks thing!

Well, I had the date. Actually, I had two dates this week. One I wasn't sure was going to happen because of our schedules. Both dates went really well since there was no real pressure. The Friday date was the one where I didn't know what she looked like. We met at a nice lounge downtown and I got there early so we would have a pool table. They were already taken even though I got there well ahead of time.

When she came in I knew it was her. She had nice long strawberry blonde hair like she described and when she looked around for me I caught her eye and waved her over. We nursed a couple of drinks, played darts and learned some more things about each other. There were enough laughs and smiles for me to think it went alright. (Okay, I'll admit there was even some flirting in there too. )
