what's the meaning behind your username?

I chose my username because my name begins with an M and so do all my kitties: Mourek, Mici, and Matti (who crossed to kitty heaven two years ago).

My partner and I used to own a Toyota Corolla KE30, which I named Razor. I needed a username for the Playstation Network, so I added 'ooni' to it. It's been my username for everything ever since

My name is Tamela and my husband calls me Tamma. I wanted my user name to be TammaCat but the autocorrector changed it to Tammat. I am still disappointed about that. I wanted to be TammaCat :stomp:

It's very cool to hear everyone's story. I've often wondered about people's usernames.

2Cats4Me  , the meaning is pretty simple really ..  A 2 cat family is enough for us .  With food , medical care , cat supplies being so expensive just having 2 is manageable for us .

Plus we have 3 dogs as well  ...

My username, Tabbysia, is based on my cats. I have a gray Tabby cat and a Siamese mix.

That's not good, I'd be    too.   I love TammaCat as well.  

I have used kntrygrl (kntrygrl256) since I started using the internet in the late 90's.  I have always lived in a rural area and love being in the country setting.  The 256 is my local area code for Alabama.

Cat Servant pretty much says it all, I guess.

Mine is pretty simple.  When I first joined, I wanted something cat related, and my cat was sleeping beside me...so cat nap stuck out.

I also like to take naps, but now would prefer to just get a good night's sleep, and no napping.

I find that if I want a "good nights sleep" I have to take a nap when the cats are napping.  It's the only time when it's quiet in the house!  Otherwise, at night, let's just say that they've been napping all day long and they're a wee bit active during the human's sleeping time.

        You just made my day, @keyes, because lately I didn't think of napping as such a positive thing.  In your case, I totally understand the need for it.  

  And now I shall rethink my whole attitude, except that my animals actually go so sleep before me, at night, so I kind of feel for you.

Nora neko is stray cat in Japanese. Actually it's written like this.

野良猫　Field good cat.

Because stray cats are good to have in the fields, keeping the birds and mice out of your crops.

Chan means little or sweet. In my old neighbourhood lots of people put food out for the feral cats as they appreciated all the good work they did in the fields. They used to call them Nora chan, which translates as Little Stray Ones. I thought it was kind of sweet.

I was going through some terrible times, and I really admired Delirium's freedom to say and do whatever came to mind. Once I met DH and we moved away and things were looking up from there, I thought about changing it, but DH likes it, because I use it for my gamer tag too. "You've been fragged by 'Twinkles'" lol.

I have instructed my master to sit at the computer and find a cat site so I can contact other cats so he must use my name as it is me who is doing the talking here not the human.

To Cat Nap-I know, so do mine.  First they lull you into a false sense of security, "Ah yes, they're sleeping and I'll be able to sleep all night." and then when you're sleeping soundly it's a call to arms.  Otherwise known as hawking up a hairball, crawling underneath the bed with the feet motoring along the bottom of the mattress, using the door frame as a scratching post or deciding to do a chorus of the Midnight Blues!  I have six of the little charmers in the house and sometimes there is no rest for the wicked.

It's just the username I use everywhere. It's a made up Tolkien-name. I can't remember if it's Sindarin or Quenya. It theoretically means "Star-knowledge maiden." In reality it means "owner of username can't remember umpteen usernames and uses the same one everywhere."
