what's the meaning behind your username?

Mine is Maia's full name. Maia Elizabeth. I have Foley too but when I joined it was because Maia had just been spayed, hence the username. People kind of laugh because she has two names. I only use them together when Im calling her and she wont listen to me, and also because I love it how the two names sound together.
Chromium Blues is part of a line from a Melissa Etheridge song called Chrome-Plated Heart. I had it stuck in my head when I signed up here. I love music!
DocsMom.... started as my handle when my heart horse "Whats Up Doc?" was still alive. Spent 15 of his 25 years with him, so I keep it in his memory.
Mine is boring. Nurse because I am a nurse. Angel because my name is Angela (though most people call me "Angie"). I am wildspecks on other sites, in tribute to my spotted DSH, Speck.

Our last cat was named Jamie Cat, hence "jcat". He was a tuxedo cat, and that reminded me of James Bond.
No deep meaning to mine. I just chose something cat orientated.

It's interesting to read the meanings behind everyone else's though.
When I first posted here I was grief stricken with the loss of my Chrissy. I wanted to include my husband in the posting as he was grieving too, so just put both of our names, Bob and Diane, Di for short.I only planned on posting once, but after seeing how much people suffer and need help I somehow just kept coming back. It helps so much to have people to talk to who understand what you are going through.
I had taken in a stray kitten and named her Goldy. Of course, she turned out to be pregnant. None of my cat care books contained any information on caring for a pregnant cat, birthing, or newborn kitten care. One of them did have a list of resources at the end of the book, including TheCatSite.com. I had only belonged to professional forums before where I used my real name. When I signed up on TCS I vaguely remember that it was suggested the username not be your real name. I prefer to take time to think things through, but since I needed something immediately and was looking for help with Goldy I just went with her name.
Tony Larussa was the manager of my favorite baseball team for many years, he retired and went into the Hall of Fame two years ago.

When I joined I just had Miagi so that's why it's Miagi's_Mommy.
I love the childrens story, The Ugly Duckling. I can personally relate to the entire concept. Spent a long time thinking I was a wrong duck, but as I grew I discovered I am not a duck at all! So when I need a user name it usually has something to do with that. Corny, huh? Lol
